11 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work [is] pure and whether [it is] right.
1 The proverbs of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel;
2 to know wisdom and chastening; to understand prudent words;
3 to receive the chastening of prudence, justice, judgment, and equity;
4 to give prudence to the simple, and to the young men knowledge and council.
5 For thou [art] my hope, O Lord GOD; [thou art] my security from my youth.
30 The young men faint and are weary; the children stumble and fall;
31 but those that wait for the LORD shall have new strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.:
6 Young men likewise exhort to be temperate;
7 Only be thou strong and very courageous that thou mayest keep and do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee; turn not from it [to] the right hand or [to] the left that thou may be prospered in all the things that thou doest.
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night that thou may keep and do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shalt make thy way to prosper, and then thou shalt understand everything.
9 See that I command thee to be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed; for [I], the LORD thy God [am], with thee whereever thou goest.
10 Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart and put away evil from thy flesh; for childhood and youth [are] vanity.:
11 Thy [spoken] word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee.
12 both young men and maidens, the old with the children,
13 Let them praise the name of the LORD; for his name alone is excellent; his glory [is] above earth and heavens.
9 BETH. With what shall a young man cleanse his way? when he shall keep thy word.
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day, not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
13 Better [is] a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king who will no longer be admonished.
1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth while the evil days do not come nor the years draw near when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise),
3 that it may be well with thee, and thou may live long on the earth.
5 Likewise, young people, be subject to the elders in such a manner that you are all subject to one another. Be clothed with humility of will, for God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble.
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time,
11 For I know the thoughts that I think concerning you, said the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you the end that you wait for.
12 Then ye shall call upon me, and ye shall walk [in my ways] and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13 And ye shall seek me, and find [me], for ye shall seek me with all your heart.
14 And I will be found of you, said the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the Gentiles and from all the places where I have driven you, said the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place from where I caused you to be carried away captive.
9 Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth and walk in the ways of thine heart and in the sight of thine eyes; but know thou, that for all these [things] God will bring thee into judgment.
19 Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and straighten thy heart in the way.
20 Do not be among those who are drunk with wine; nor among gluttonous eaters of food;
21 for the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty, and drowsiness shall cause them to wear rags.
22 Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.
12 Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the faithful in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
29 The glory of young men [is] their strength, and the beauty of old men [is] the gray head.
17 And unto these four young men, God gave them knowledge and intelligence in all letters and science; furthermore Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
18 Now at the end of the days after which the king had said he should bring them in, the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.
19 And the king communed with them, and none among them all was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; and [therefore] they stood before the king.
14 I have written unto you, fathers, that ye have known him [that is] from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, that ye are strong and the word of God abides in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth while the evil days do not come nor the years draw near when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
2 before the sun and the light and the moon and the stars are darkened and the clouds return after the rain:
3 In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble and the strong men shall bow themselves and the grinders cease [because] they are few and those that look out of the windows are darkened;
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise),
6 Then I said, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I do not know how to speak: for I [am] a child.
7 But the LORD said unto me, Do not say, I [am] a child; for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
8 Do not be afraid of their faces; for I [am] with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
28 And it shall come to pass after this [that] I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 and even upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
27 [Teth] [It is] good for the man if he bears the yoke from his youth.
