1 A Song of degrees. Blessed [is] every one that fears the LORD, that walks in his ways.
2 When thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands; happy [shalt] thou [be], and [it shall be] well with thee.
10 [Aleph] Who can find a valiant woman? for her price [is] far above precious stones.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother that thy days may be lengthened upon the land which the LORD thy God gives thee.
24 He that cuts short chastening hates his son, but he that loves him chastens him early.
20 The wise son makes a glad father, but the foolish man despises his mother.
9 Therefore, take heed to thyself and keep thy soul diligently lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life, but teach them to thy sons and thy sons' sons.
6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.
3 Behold, sons [are] a heritage of the LORD, [and] the fruit of the womb [is] to be desired.
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise),
3 that it may be well with thee, and thou may live long on the earth.
8 My son, hearken unto the chastening of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
9 For they [shall be] an increase of grace unto thy head and protection about thy neck.
13 As a manchild whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
4 Charity suffers long [and] is benign; charity envies not; charity does [nothing] without due reason, is not puffed up,
5 is not injurious, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil,
6 rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
25 [Ain] Strength and glory [is] her clothing, and she shall laugh in the last day.
26 [Pe] She opened her mouth with wisdom, and the law of mercy [is] upon her tongue.
27 [Tzaddi] She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat bread in idleness.
28 [Koph] Her sons rose up and called her blessed; her husband [also], and he praised her.
29 [Resh] Many daughters have done valiantly, but thou dost excel them all.
30 [Schin] Grace [is] deceitful, and beauty [is] vain, [but] the woman that fears the LORD shall be praised.
