4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath, but bring them up in the discipline and admonition of the Lord.
8 My son, hearken unto the chastening of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
9 For they [shall be] an increase of grace unto thy head and protection about thy neck.
6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.
16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers; each one shall be put to death for his own sin.
20 Whosoever curses his father or his mother, his fire shall be put out in obscure darkness.
6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be upon thy heart,
7 and thou shalt repeat them diligently unto thy sons and shalt talk of them being in thy house and walking by the way, lying down in bed, and rising up;
26 He that steals from his father [and] chases away [his] mother [is] a son that causes shame and brings reproach.
22 Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.
24 The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice, and he that begets a wise [child] shall have joy with him.
6 Children's children [are] the crown of old men, and the honour of the children [are] their fathers.
11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if [he ask] a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall [your] heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those that ask him?
21 Fathers, provoke not your children lest they become disheartened.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh.
4 But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let those learn first to govern their house in piety and to recompense their parents, for this is honest and pleasing before God.
3 Behold, sons [are] a heritage of the LORD, [and] the fruit of the womb [is] to be desired.
4 As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so [are] the young men.
5 Happy [is] the man that has filled his quiver with them: he shall not be ashamed when he speaks with the enemies in the gate.:
24 He that cuts short chastening hates his son, but he that loves him chastens him early.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother that thy days may be lengthened upon the land which the LORD thy God gives thee.
15 And if it seems evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that [were] on the other side of the river or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise),
3 that it may be well with thee, and thou may live long on the earth.
15 The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left [to himself] shall bring his mother to shame.
20 Children, obey [your] parents in all things, for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
1 (The parables of Solomon.) A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son [is] sadness unto his mother.
7 If ye endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father does not chasten?
8 But if any provide not for his own and specially for those of his own house, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
