18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fitting in the Lord.

19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

9 And Onan knew that the descendant would not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give a descendant to his brother.

10 And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: therefore he slew him also.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.

24 And David comforted Bath-sheba his wife, and went in unto her, and lay with her: and she bore a son, and he called his name Solomon: and the LORD loved him.

7 They shall not take a wife that is a harlot, or is defiled; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God.

3 Let the husband render unto the wife her due: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

4 The wife has not power over her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband has not power over his own body, but the wife.

14 And above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you are called in one body; and be thankful.

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

17 And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father by him.

5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

14 House and riches are the inheritance from fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.

4 Let marriage be held in honor by all, and the bed undefiled: but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

3 Your wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of your house: your children like olive plants round about your table.

17 And the LORD afflicted Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram's wife.

18 And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that you have done unto me? why did you not tell me that she was your wife?

6 His left hand is under my head, and his right hand does embrace me.

2 Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her harlotry out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts;

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is outside the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.

19 What? know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have of God, and you are not your own?

20 For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up its place with flesh;

22 And from the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

2 For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he lives; but if the husband dies, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

3 So then if, while her husband lives, she is married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband dies, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she is married to another man.

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord the church:

30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

10 For fornicators, for homosexuals, for slave traders, for liars, for perjurers, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becomes saints;

31 It has been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, except for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced commits adultery.

1 Now Sarai Abram's wife bore him no children: and she had a handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.

2 And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD has restrained me from bearing: I pray you, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

3 And Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.

4 Love suffers long, and is kind; love envies not; love vaunts not itself, is not puffed up,

5 Does not behave itself rudely, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, keeps no record of evil;

6 Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

7 Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.

9 But if they cannot have self-control, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:

11 But if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

21 But Abijah grew mighty, and married fourteen wives, and begot twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters.

6 Therefore they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, impurity, licentiousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, strife, jealousy, wrath, selfishness, divisions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like: of which I tell you beforehand, as I have also told you in time past, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

4 And he answered and said unto them, Have you not read, that he who made them at the beginning made them male and female,

5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they two shall be one flesh?

6 Therefore they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.

36 Thus says the Lord GOD; Because your filthiness was poured out, and your nakedness uncovered through your harlotries with your lovers, and with all the idols of your abominations, and by the blood of your children, which you did give unto them;

37 Behold, therefore I will gather all your lovers, with whom you have taken pleasure, and all them that you have loved, with all them that you have hated; I will even gather them round about against you, and will uncover your nakedness unto them, that they may see all your nakedness.

8 When you are bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest place; lest a more honorable man than you be bidden of him;

21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

1 Sing, O barren, you that did not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you that did not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, says the LORD.

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord the church:

30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

5 When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall bring happiness to his wife whom he has taken.

1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bore Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bore a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, has appointed me another child instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.

22 Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of the LORD.

2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for your love is better than wine.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that you should abstain from fornication:

4 That every one of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor;

5 Not in the lust of passion, even as the Gentiles who know not God:

3 Let the husband render unto the wife her due: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

4 The wife has not power over her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband has not power over his own body, but the wife.

5 Deprive not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your lack of self-control.

13 If any man takes a wife, and goes in unto her, and hates her,

14 And charges her with shameful conduct, and brings an evil name upon her, and says, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a virgin:

15 Then shall the father of the young woman, and her mother, take and bring forth the evidence of the young womanâs virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:

16 And the young womanâs father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man as a wife, and he hates her;

17 And, lo, he has charged her with shameful conduct, saying, I found not your daughter a virgin; and yet these are the evidence of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.

18 Let your fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of your youth.

19 Let her be as the loving deer and graceful doe; let her breasts satisfy you at all times; and be ravished always with her love.

14 And above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.

36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher: she was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity;

22 And from the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

29 So is he that goes in to his neighbor's wife; whosoever touches her shall not be innocent.

9 It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a contentious woman in a whole house.

29 And everyone that has forsaken houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

4 And they said, Moses allowed a man to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.

5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.

6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and be joined to his wife;

8 And they two shall be one flesh: so then they are no more two, but one flesh.

10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

5 Your two breasts are like two fawns, twins of a gazelle, which feed among the lilies.

9 You have ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; you have ravished my heart with one look of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace.

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself.

7 You are all fair, my love; there is no spot in you.

9 A man's heart plans his way: but the LORD directs his steps.

29 This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goes aside to another instead of her husband, and is defiled;

30 Or when the spirit of jealousy comes upon him, and he is jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.

6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of rebellion or unruly.

27 You have heard that it was said by them of old time, You shall not commit adultery:

28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

6 Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm: for love is as strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: its flames are flames of fire, a most vehement flame.

7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the wealth of his house for love, it would utterly be rejected.

14 Turn, O backsliding children, says the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one from a city, and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

1 Now concerning the things of which you wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

32 But I would have you without concern. He that is unmarried cares for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:

33 But he that is married cares for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.

34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married cares for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that makes ashamed is like rottenness in his bones.

7 Likewise, you husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

13 And he shall take a wife in her virginity.

14 A widow, or a divorced woman, or defiled, or a harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people as wife.

20 Moreover you shall not lie carnally with your neighbor's wife, to defile yourself with her.

18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.

13 Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

14 And God has both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

10 And the man that commits adultery with another man's wife, even he that commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

13 If a man also lies with a man, as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

9 Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of the life of your vanity, which he has given you under the sun, all the days of your vanity: for that is your portion in this life, and in your labor which you perform under the sun.

9 Know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor.

10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falls; for he has not another to help him up.

11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?

12 And if one prevails against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

7 Likewise, you husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

10 And he said, I will certainly return unto you according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah yourwife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I have grown old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he has judged the great harlot, who did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

2 The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto you a wife of harlotry and children of harlotry: for the land has committed great harlotry, departing from the LORD.

33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she respect her husband.

20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
