18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own life?
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with decency and propriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
10 But (as becomes women professing godliness) with good works.
26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
11 The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and like a high wall in his own esteem.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and clothing let us be with these things content.
16 Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure with trouble.
15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses.
8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food needful for me:
5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
17 Charge them that are rich in this present age, that they be not haughty, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy;
4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivers from death.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which plunge men into destruction and perdition.
10 He that loves silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loves abundance, with increase: this is also vanity.
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
1 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold.
5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.
26 He covets greedily all the day long: but the righteous gives and spares not.
32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that any of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust does corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust does corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
15 As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing from his labor, which he may carry away in his hand.
5 Will you set your eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
21 Jesus said unto him, If you will be perfect, go and sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
