1 In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first. 2 And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai. 3 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last. 4 I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great. 5 And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. 6 And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power. 7 And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. 8 Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven. 9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. 10 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. 11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. 12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.
13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? 14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
15 And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man. 16 And I heard a man’s voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision. 17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision. 18 Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright. 19 And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be. 20 The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia. 21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king. 22 Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power. 23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. 24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. 25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. 26 And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days. 27 And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king’s business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.
1 伯沙撒王在位第三年， 在先前显给我的异象之后， 再有一个异象向我但以理显现。
2 我在异象中观看， 看见自己在以拦省书珊城堡里； 我在异象中继续观看， 看见自己在乌莱河的岸边。
3 我举目观看， 看见一只公绵羊， 站在河边； 它有两个角， 两角都很高， 但高低不一； 那较高的角是较迟长出来的。
4 我看见那公绵羊向西、向北、向南撞去， 没有走兽能在它面前站立得住， 也没有能拯救脱离它手的； 它任意而行， 狂妄自大。
5 我正在思考的时候， 忽然有一只公山羊从西而来， 走遍全地， 快得脚不沾尘； 这山羊两眼之间有一个显眼的角。
6 它走到我先前所看见站在河边、那有两个角的公绵羊那里去， 忿怒地向公绵羊猛力冲去。
7 我看见公山羊走近公绵羊， 向它发怒， 撞击它， 折断它的两个角； 公绵羊在它面前站立不住， 它把公绵羊撞倒在地上， 又用脚践踏它， 没有能拯救公绵羊脱离它手的。
8 这公山羊非常狂妄自大； 但在它强盛的时候， 那大角被折断了； 在大角原来的地方， 有四个显眼的角向天的四方长出来。
9 从这四个角中的一个角， 又长出一个小角来， 这小角向南、向东和向荣美之地， 不断强大起来。
10 它渐渐长大， 高及天象， 把一些天象和星星摔落在地上， 用脚践踏。
11 它狂妄自大， 要高及天象之君； 它除掉献给天象之君的常献祭， 又拆毁他的圣所。
12 因罪过的缘故， 圣民（"圣民"和8:10、11的"天象"原文是同一个字）连同常献的祭都交给它； 它把真理丢在地上， 任意而行， 凡事顺利。
13 我听见一位圣者在说话， 又有一位圣者问他： "这个关于除掉常献的祭， 和引致毁坏的罪过， 以及践踏圣所和圣民（"圣民"和8:10、11的"天象"原文是同一个字）的异象， 要到几时呢？"
14 他对我说： "要到二千三百个晚上和早晨， 圣所才得洁净。"
15 我但以理看见了这异象以后， 就想明白它的意义； 忽然有一位外貌像人的， 站在我面前。
16 我又听见从乌莱河两岸之间， 有人的声音呼叫着说： "加百列啊！ 你要使这人明白这异象。"
17 他就来到我所站的地方； 他来到的时候， 我就害怕， 脸伏在地； 他对我说： "人子啊， 你要明白！ 这异象是关于末后的时期的。"
18 他和我说话的时候， 我沉睡了， 脸伏在地； 他抚摩我， 使我两脚站起来。
19 他说： "看哪！ 我要告诉你在 神忿怒审判的后期必要发生的事， 因为这是有关那末后的定期的。
20 你所看见那有两个角的公绵羊， 就是玛代和波斯王。
21 那多毛的公山羊就是希腊王； 那两眼之间的大角就是第一个王。
22 至于代替那折断了的角， 在它原来的地方长出来的四个角， 就是四个要从他的国中兴起的王国， 只是没有他的权势。
23 "在这四国的后期， 犯罪的人恶贯满盈的时候， 必有一个面貌凶恶的王兴起， 他诡计多端。
24 他的权势强大， 却不是出于自己的能力； 他必造成惊人的毁灭； 他任意而行， 凡事顺利； 他必毁灭有强力的， 又毁灭圣民。
25 他运用诡计， 行骗无往而不利； 他心里狂妄自大； 他必乘人不备的时候， 毁灭许多人； 他要起来攻击万君之君， 最后却非因人的手被毁灭。
26 关于所说二千三百个晚上和早晨的异象是真的， 但你要把这异象封住， 因为那是关于将来许多的年日的。"
27 我但以理精疲力竭， 病了几天， 后来我起来， 办理王的事务， 但我仍因这异象惊骇不已， 不明白它的意思。
