And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks? 3 Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock. 4 The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them. 5 And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd: and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered. 6 My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them. 
Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD; 8 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock; 9 Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD; 10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them. 
For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. 12 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. 13 And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. 14 I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel. 15 I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD. 16 I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment. 
And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats. 18 Seemeth it a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet? 19 And as for my flock, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet. 
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD unto them; Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the lean cattle. 21 Because ye have thrust with side and with shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns, till ye have scattered them abroad; 22 Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle. 23 And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. 24 And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it. 25 And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods. 26 And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing. 27 And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them. 28 And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid. 29 And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more. 30 Thus shall they know that I the LORD their God am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord GOD. 31 And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord GOD.

耶和华的话临到我说：

你们吃脂油、穿羊毛， 宰肥壮的羊， 却不牧养羊群。 
瘦弱的， 你们没有养壮； 患病的， 你们没有医治； 受伤的， 你们没有包扎； 被赶散的， 你们没有领回； 迷失的， 你们没有寻找； 你们反而用强暴严严地管辖它们。 
它们没有牧人， 就分散了， 作了田野一切走兽的食物。 
我的羊在众山和各高冈上流离； 它们分散在全地上， 没有人去寻， 也没有人去找。 
"‘因此， 你们这些作牧者的， 要听耶和华的话： 
我指着我的永生起誓， 我的羊因没有牧人， 就成了猎物， 作了田野一切走兽的食物。我的众牧者不寻找我的羊； 他们只顾牧养自己， 却不牧养我的羊。这是主耶和华的宣告。 
因此， 你们这些作牧者的， 要听耶和华的话。 
主耶和华这样说： 看哪！ 我要与众牧者为敌； 我必向他们追讨我的羊， 使他们不再牧养羊群， 也不再牧养自己。我必救我的羊脱离他们的口， 不再作他们的食物。 
"‘因为主耶和华这样说： 看哪！ 我必亲自寻觅我的羊， 把它们找出来。 
牧人在他的羊群四散的时候， 怎样寻找他的羊， 我也必照样寻找我的羊。这些羊在密云幽暗的日子四散到各处， 我要把它们从那里救回来。 
我必把它们从万族中领出来， 从列邦中聚集它们， 领它们归回故土。我必在以色列的群山上， 在众溪水旁， 在国内一切居住的地方， 牧养它们。 
我必在美好的草场上牧养它们， 以色列的高山必作牧放它们的地方。在那里它们必躺卧在美好的牧场上， 它们必在以色列群山肥美的草场上吃草。 
我必亲自牧养我的羊， 亲自使它们躺卧。这是主耶和华的宣告。 
迷失的， 我必寻找； 被赶散的， 我必领回； 受伤的， 我必包扎； 患病的， 我必养壮； 肥壮的， 我却要除灭。我也必按着公正牧养它们。 
"‘我的羊啊！ 论到你们， 主耶和华这样说： 我要在羊与羊之间， 在公绵羊与公山羊之间， 施行审判。 
你们在美好的草场上吃草， 还不知足吗？剩下的草， 你们竟用脚践踏； 你们喝了清水， 剩下的你们竟用脚搅浊。 
我的羊， 就只能吃你们用脚践踏过的， 喝你们用脚搅浊了的。 
"‘因此， 主耶和华对它们这样说： 看哪！ 我必亲自在肥羊与瘦羊之间施行审判。 
因为你们用腰用肩拥挤所有瘦弱的， 又用角抵触它们， 直到把它们驱散到外面， 
所以我必拯救我的羊， 使它们不再作猎物。我要在羊与羊之间施行审判。 
"‘我必立一个牧人， 就是我的仆人大卫， 看管它们， 牧养它们。他必牧养它们， 作它们的牧人。 
我耶和华必作它们的 神， 我的仆人大卫要在它们中间作领袖。我耶和华已经说了。 
"‘我必与它们立平安的约， 使恶兽从境内灭绝， 它们就可以在旷野安居， 在树林中躺卧。 
我必使他们和我的山四围都蒙福； 我必按时降雨， 这就是赐福的雨。 
田野的树木必结果子， 地也必有出产； 他们必在自己的土地上安居。我打断他们所负的轭， 救他们脱离奴役者的手的时候， 他们就知道我是耶和华。 
他们必不再作列国的猎物， 地上的野兽也不再吞吃他们； 他们必安然居住， 没有人惊吓他们。 
我必给他们兴起一个以种植闻名的地方， 使他们在境内不再被饥荒消灭， 也不再担当列国的羞辱。 
那时， 他们就知道我耶和华他们的 神与他们同在， 并且知道他们以色列家是我的子民。这是主耶和华的宣告。 
你们是我的羊， 是我草场上的羊； 我是你们的 神。这是耶和华的宣告。’"
