1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. 2 And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

3 Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace. 4 And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp. 5 So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said. 6 And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled. 7 And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: for the anointing oil of the LORD is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.

8 And the LORD spake unto Aaron, saying, 9 Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations: 10 And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean; 11 And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.

12 And Moses spake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons that were left, Take the meat offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without leaven beside the altar: for it is most holy: 13 And ye shall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons’ due, of the sacrifices of the LORD made by fire: for so I am commanded. 14 And the wave breast and heave shoulder shall ye eat in a clean place; thou, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy sons’ due, which are given out of the sacrifices of peace offerings of the children of Israel. 15 The heave shoulder and the wave breast shall they bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be thine, and thy sons’ with thee, by a statute for ever; as the LORD hath commanded.

16 And Moses diligently sought the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron which were left alive, saying, 17 Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD? 18 Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded. 19 And Aaron said unto Moses, Behold, this day have they offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the LORD; and such things have befallen me: and if I had eaten the sin offering to day, should it have been accepted in the sight of the LORD? 20 And when Moses heard that, he was content.

1 亚伦的儿子拿答和亚比户各拿着自己的香炉， 盛上火， 加上香， 在耶和华面前献上平常的火， 是耶和华没有命令他们献的。

2 那时有火从耶和华面前出来， 把他们烧灭， 他们就死在耶和华面前。

3 于是摩西对亚伦说： "这就是耶和华曾经告诉我们的， 他说： ‘在亲近我的人中， 我要显为圣， 在众人面前， 我要得荣耀。’"亚伦就默然无语。

4 摩西把亚伦叔父乌薛的儿子米沙利和以利撒反召了来， 对他们说： "你们上前来， 把你们的兄弟从圣所前抬到营外去。"

5 于是二人走近来， 照着摩西的吩咐， 把他们连同他们的衣服抬到营外去。

6 摩西对亚伦和他的儿子以利亚撒和以他玛说： "你们不要披头散发， 不可撕裂你们的衣服， 免得你们死亡， 又免得耶和华向全体会众发怒。你们的亲族， 以色列全家， 却要为耶和华所烧死的人哀哭（"要为耶和华......哀哭"或译： "要为耶和华所燃起的焚烧哀哭"）。

7 你们也不可走出会幕的门口， 免得你们死亡， 因为耶和华的膏油在你们身上。"他们就照着摩西的话行。

8 耶和华对亚伦说：

9 "你和你的儿子一起进会幕的时候， 淡酒烈酒都不可喝， 免得你们死亡， 这要作你们世世代代永远的律例；

10 使你们可以把圣的和俗的， 洁净的和不洁净的， 分辨清楚；

11 可以把耶和华借着摩西告诉以色列人的一切律例， 教训他们。"

12 摩西对亚伦和他剩下的儿子以利亚撒和以他玛说： "献给耶和华的火祭中剩下的素祭， 你们要拿来在祭坛旁边作无酵饼吃， 因为这是至圣的。

13 你们要在圣洁的地方吃， 在献与耶和华的火祭中， 这是你和你儿子的分， 因为耶和华是这样吩咐我。

14 至于作摇祭的胸和作举祭的后腿， 你们也要在洁净的地方吃， 你和你的儿女要一起吃， 这是从以色列人献的平安祭中， 给你和你儿子的分。

15 至于作举祭的后腿， 作摇祭的胸， 他们要与火祭的脂肪一同带来， 当作摇祭， 在耶和华面前摇一摇。这都要归给你和与你在一起的儿子， 当作永远的律例， 都是照着耶和华所吩咐的。"

16 那时， 摩西急切地寻找那作赎罪祭的公山羊， 发现已经烧了； 他就向亚伦剩下的儿子以利亚撒和以他玛发怒， 说：

17 "这赎罪祭是至圣的， 耶和华又把祭肉给你们， 要叫你们担当会众的罪孽， 在耶和华面前为他们赎罪， 你们为什么没有在圣洁的地方吃呢？

18 这祭牲的血既然没有带进圣所里去， 你们就应该照着我所吩咐的， 在圣所里吃这祭肉。"

19 亚伦对摩西说： "今天他们在耶和华面前已经献了赎罪祭和燔祭， 而且有这样的灾祸临到我； 如果今天我吃了赎罪祭的祭肉， 耶和华怎能看为美好呢？"

20 摩西听了， 也觉得合理。
