1 LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

2 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

3 Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

4 Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.

5 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

7 Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.

8 I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

12 Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.

13 Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

2 Tu as pardonné l'iniquité de ton peuple, Tu as couvert tous ses péchés; Pause.

3 Tu as retiré toute ta fureur, Tu es revenu de l'ardeur de ta colère.

4 Rétablis-nous, Dieu de notre salut! Cesse ton indignation contre nous!

5 T'irriteras-tu contre nous à jamais? Prolongeras-tu ta colère éternellement?

6 Ne nous rendras-tu pas à la vie, Afin que ton peuple se réjouisse en toi?

7 Eternel! fais-nous voir ta bonté, Et accorde-nous ton salut!

8 J'écouterai ce que dit Dieu, l'Eternel; Car il parle de paix à son peuple et à ses fidèles, Pourvu qu'ils ne retombent pas dans la folie.

9 Oui, son salut est près de ceux qui le craignent, Afin que la gloire habite dans notre pays.

10 La bonté et la fidélité se rencontrent, La justice et la paix s'embrassent;

11 La fidélité germe de la terre, Et la justice regarde du haut des cieux.

12 L'Eternel aussi accordera le bonheur, Et notre terre donnera ses fruits.

13 La justice marchera devant lui, Et imprimera ses pas sur le chemin.

2 Tu hai perdonato l’iniquità del tuo popolo, hai coperto tutti i loro peccati. Sela.

3 Tu hai acquetato tutto il tuo cruccio, ti sei distolto dall’ardore della tua ira.

4 Ristabiliscici, o Dio della nostra salvezza, e fa’ cessar la tua indignazione contro di noi.

5 Sarai tu adirato contro di noi in perpetuo? Farai tu durar l’ira tua d’età in età?

6 Non tornerai tu a ravvivarci, onde il tuo popolo si rallegri in te?

7 Mostraci la tua benignità, o Eterno, e dacci la tua salvezza.

8 Io ascolterò quel che dirà Iddio, l’Eterno, poiché egli parlerà di pace al suo popolo ed ai suoi fedeli; a non ritornino più alla follia!

9 Certo, la sua salvezza è vicina a quelli che lo temono, affinché la gloria abiti nel nostro paese.

10 La benignità e la verità si sono incontrate, la giustizia e la pace si son baciate.

11 La verità germoglia dalla terra, e la giustizia riguarda dal cielo.

12 Anche l’Eterno largirà ogni bene, e la nostra terra produrrà il suo frutto.

13 La giustizia camminerà dinanzi a lui, e seguirà la via dei suoi passi.
