1 In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

2 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land. 3 And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth. 4 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive: 5 But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth. 6 And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. 8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. 9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

1 En ce jour-là, une source sera ouverte Pour la maison de David et les habitants de Jérusalem, Pour le péché et pour l'impureté.

2 En ce jour-là, dit l'Eternel des armées, J'exterminerai du pays les noms des idoles, Afin qu'on ne s'en souvienne plus; J'ôterai aussi du pays les prophètes et l'esprit d'impureté.

3 Si quelqu'un prophétise encore, Son père et sa mère, qui l'ont engendré, lui diront: Tu ne vivras pas, car tu dis des mensonges au nom de l'Eternel! Et son père et sa mère, qui l'ont engendré, le transperceront Quand il prophétisera.

4 En ce jour-là, les prophètes rougiront de leurs visions Quand ils prophétiseront, Et ils ne revêtiront plus un manteau de poil pour mentir.

5 Chacun d'eux dira: Je ne suis pas prophète, Je suis laboureur, Car on m'a acheté dès ma jeunesse.

6 Et si on lui demande: D'où viennent ces blessures que tu as aux mains? Il répondra: C'est dans la maison de ceux qui m'aimaient que je les ai reçues.

7 Epée, lève-toi sur mon pasteur Et sur l'homme qui est mon compagnon! Dit l'Eternel des armées. Frappe le pasteur, et que les brebis se dispersent! Et je tournerai ma main vers les faibles.

8 Dans tout le pays, dit l'Eternel, Les deux tiers seront exterminés, périront, Et l'autre tiers restera.

9 Je mettrai ce tiers dans le feu, Et je le purifierai comme on purifie l'argent, Je l'éprouverai comme on éprouve l'or. Il invoquera mon nom, et je l'exaucerai; Je dirai: C'est mon peuple! Et il dira: L'Eternel est mon Dieu!

1 In quel giorno vi sarà una fonte aperta per la casa di Davide e per gli abitanti di Gerusalemme, per il peccato e per l’impurità.

2 E in quel giorno avverrà, dice l’Eterno degli eserciti, che io sterminerò dal paese i nomi degli idoli, e non se ne farà più menzione; e i profeti pure, e gli spiriti immondi farò sparire dal paese.

3 E avverrà, che se qualcuno farà ancora il profeta, suo padre e sua madre che l’hanno generato gli diranno: "Tu non vivrai, perché dici delle menzogne nel nome dell’Eterno"; e suo padre e sua madre che l’hanno generato lo trafiggeranno perché fa il profeta.

4 E in quel giorno avverrà che i profeti avranno vergogna, ognuno della visione che proferiva quando profetava; e non si metteranno più il mantello di pelo per mentire.

5 E ognuno d’essi dirà: "Io non son profeta; sono un coltivatore del suolo; qualcuno mi comprò fin dalla mia giovinezza".

6 E gli si dirà: "Che son quelle ferite che hai nelle mani?" Ed egli risponderà: "Son le ferite che ho ricevuto nella casa dei miei amici".

7 Dèstati, o spada, contro il mio pastore, e contro l’uomo che mi è compagno! Dice l’Eterno degli eserciti. Colpisci il pastore, e sian disperse le pecore! Ma io volgerò la mia mano sui piccoli.

8 E in tutto il paese avverrà, dice l’Eterno, che i due terzi vi saranno sterminati, periranno ma l’altro terzo vi sarà lasciato.

9 E metterò quel terzo nel fuoco e lo affinerò come si affina l’argento, lo proverò come si prova l’oro; essi invocheranno il mio nome e io li esaudirò; io dirò: "E’ il mio popolo! Ed esso dirà: "L’Eterno è il mio Dio!"
