6 On account of this, be exceeding glad, though now, for a little while, (since it is needful,) you are made sorry by divers trials;

7 that the trying of your faith, (much more precious than of gold, which perishes, though proved by fire,) may be found to praise, and honor, and glory, at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

8 whom, not having seen, you love; on whom, not now looking, but believing, you greatly rejoice, with joy unspeakable and full of glory-

9 receiving the consummation of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
