15 Love not the world, neither the things which are in the world. If any one love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

5 Who is he that overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

33 These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage! I have overcome the world.

10 For godly sorrow produces a reformation to salvation, never to be repented of; but the sorrow of the world produces death.

20 (for his invisible attributes, even his eternal power and divinity, since the creation of the world, are very evident; being known by his works:) so that they are inexcusable.

1 Behold how great love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! For this reason, the world does not know us, because it did not know him.

7 For we brought nothing into the world, and it is evident that we can carry out nothing.

8 Wherefore, having food and raiment, with these let us be content.

4 Adulterers, and adulteresses, do you not know that the friendship of the world is enmity against God? Whosoever, therefore, will be a friend of the world, is counted an enemy of God.

19 We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies under the wicked one.

9 The true light was he who, coming into the world, enlightens every man.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him; yet the world knew him not.

18 Let no one deceive himself. If any one among you think to be wise in this age, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

4 On account of which, the greatest and most precious promises are freely given to us, that by these we might be made partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world, through lust.

20 Where is the wise man? where the scribe? where the disputers of this world? Has not God shown the wisdom of this world to be folly?

21 For, when, in the wisdom of God, the world, through wisdom, knew not God, it pleased God, through the foolishness of this proclamation, to save them who believe.

20 (for his invisible attributes, even his eternal power and divinity, since the creation of the world, are very evident; being known by his works:) so that they are inexcusable.

14 And this gospel of the Reign shall be published through all the world, for the information of all nations. And then shall come the end.

18 If the world hate you, consider that it hated me, before it hated you.

19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, I having selected you from the world, the world hates you.

13 You are the salt of the earth. If the salt become insipid, how shall its saltness be restored? It is thenceforth fit only to be cast out, and trod under foot.

14 You are the light of the world. A city situate on a mountain must be conspicuous.

28 the ignoble of the world, and the despised, God has chosen; nay, those that are nothing, to reduce to nothing those that are;

29 that not flesh might boast in his presence.

15 And he said unto them, Go throughout all the world, proclaim the glad tidings to the whole creation.

31 Now must this world be judged. Now must the prince of this world be cast out.

4 Adulterers, and adulteresses, do you not know that the friendship of the world is enmity against God? Whosoever, therefore, will be a friend of the world, is counted an enemy of God.

27 but God has chosen the foolish of the world to put the wise to shame; and the weak God has chosen to put the strong to shame;

2 And he is a propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

33 These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage! I have overcome the world.

7 Alas for the world because of snares! Snares indeed there must be; nevertheless, alas for the ensnarer!

8 Beware lest any one make a prey of you through an empty and deceitful philosophy, -according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ.

12 Now, we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which comes from God, that we might know the things which are gifted to us by God.

7 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; it is for your good that I depart; for if I do not depart, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go away, I will send him to you.

8 And when he is come, he will convince the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment:

9 concerning sin, because they believe not on me;

10 concerning righteousness because I go to my Father, and you see me no longer;

11 concerning judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

13 Do not wonder, my brethren, that the world hates you.

4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because he is greater, who is with you, than he who is with the world.

14 I have delivered thy word to them, and the world hates them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

16 for God has so loved the world, as to give his own begotten Son, that whosoever believes on him, may not perish, but obtain eternal life.

16 for God has so loved the world, as to give his own begotten Son, that whosoever believes on him, may not perish, but obtain eternal life.

12 For we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but with governments, with powers, with the rulers of this darkness: with spiritual wickedness in the heavenly regions.

26 What is a man profited, if he should gain the whole world, with the forfeit of his life? or what will a man not give in ransom for his life?

19 Now this is the ground of condemnation; that light has come into the world, and men have preferred the darkness to the light, because their deeds were evil.

15 And he said unto them, Go throughout all the world, proclaim the glad tidings to the whole creation.

1 Behold how great love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! For this reason, the world does not know us, because it did not know him.

19 Now we know that whatever things the law says, it says to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and that all the world may be liable to punishment before God.

4 because, every one that is begotten by God, overcomes the world. And this is the victory which overcomes the world, even our faith.

4 because, every one that is begotten by God, overcomes the world. And this is the victory which overcomes the world, even our faith.

7 For we brought nothing into the world, and it is evident that we can carry out nothing.

8 Wherefore, having food and raiment, with these let us be content.

17 Now the world passes away, and the lust of it; be he who does the will of God, abides forever.

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh;

27 Pure religion, and undefiled, with God, even the Father, is this: To take care of orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep one's self unspotted from the world.

2 And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind; that you may approve the will of God, which is good, and acceptable, and perfect.

27 Peace I leave you; my peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Be not disheartened; be not intimidated.

15 Love not the world, neither the things which are in the world. If any one love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the Father, but is of the world.

2 And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind; that you may approve the will of God, which is good, and acceptable, and perfect.

26 What is a man profited, if he should gain the whole world, with the forfeit of his life? or what will a man not give in ransom for his life?

15 I do not pray thee to remove them out of the world, but to preserve them from evil.

11 For the favor of God, which brings salvation, has appeared to all men;

12 teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world-

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him; yet the world knew him not.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the Father, but is of the world.

12 Again Jesus addressed the people, saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows me, shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

15 I do not pray thee to remove them out of the world, but to preserve them from evil.

16 Of the world they are not, as I am not of the world.

17 Consecrate them by the truth; thy word is the truth.

18 As thou hast made me thy Apostle to the world, I have made them my Apostles to the world.

27 Pure religion, and undefiled, with God, even the Father, is this: To take care of orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep one's self unspotted from the world.

25 Righteous Father, though the world knows not thee, I know thee; and these know that I have thy commission.

26 And to them I have communicated, and will communicate thy name: that I being in them, they may share in the love with which thou lovest me.

36 What would it profit a man, if he should gain the whole world, with the forfeit of his life?
