14 Und dies ist die freudige Zuversicht, die wir zu ihm (d.h. zu Gott) haben, daß, wenn wir ihn um etwas nach seinem Willen bitten, er uns erhört.

14 And this is the boldness which we have towards him, that if anything we may ask according to the will of him, he hears us;
