8 Be sensible [and] vigilant, because your adversary [the] Devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour;
9 whom firmly resist in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions in [the] world are being completed in your brotherhood.
22 Bless the LORD, all His works in all places of His rule; bless the LORD, O my soul.
8 So then they who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But you are not in the flesh, but in [the] Spirit, if [the] Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone has not [the] Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.
9 knowing that when Christ was raised from [the] dead, He dies no more; death no longer has dominion over Him.
13 Your kingdom [is] an everlasting kingdom, and Your rule [endures] throughout all generations.
20 For our citizenship is in Heaven, from which also we are looking for the Savior, [the] Lord Jesus Christ,
21 who shall change our body of humiliation so that it may be fashioned like His glorious body, according to the working of His power, even to subdue all things to Himself.
24 Do you not know that those running in a race all run, but one receives the prize? So run, that you may obtain.
25 And everyone who strives for the mastery is temperate in all things. Then those truly that they may receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.
26 So then I run, not as if I were uncertain. And so I fight, not as [one who] beats the air.
27 But I buffet my body, and lead [it] captive, lest proclaiming to others I myself might be rejected.
2 It seemed good before me to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has done with me.
3 How great [are] His signs! And how mighty [are] His wonders! His kingdom [is] an everlasting kingdom, and His rule [is] from generation to generation.
7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,
23 meekness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
13 I saw in the night visions, and behold, [One] like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him.
14 And dominion and glory was given Him, and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations and languages, should serve Him. His dominion [is] an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
7 But the end of all things has drawn near. Therefore be of sound mind, and be sensible to prayers.
19 In the multitude of words, sin is not lacking; but he who holds back his lips [is] wise.
28 He who [has] no rule over his own spirit [is like a] broken down city without a wall.
4 each one of you to know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor
5 (not in the passion of lust, even as the nations who do not know God),
9 But if they do not have self-control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn.
32 He who is slow to anger [is] better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit is better than he who takes a city.
13 [For He] has delivered us from the power of darkness and has translated [us] into the kingdom of His dear Son;
14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the remission of sins.
5 But also in this very thing, bringing in all diligence, filling out your faith with virtue, and with virtue, knowledge;
6 and with] knowledge self-control, and [with] self-control, patience, and [with] patience, godliness,
7 and [with] godliness, brotherly kindness, and [with] brotherly kindness, love.
6 For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be on His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 There is no end of the increase of [His] government and peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it and to establish it with judgment and with justice from now on, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.
20 which He worked [in] Christ in raising Him from [the] dead, and He seated [Him] at His right hand in the heavenlies,
21 far above all principality and authority and power and dominion, and every name being named, not only in this world, but also in the coming age.
11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,
12 teaching us that having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live discreetly, righteously and godly, in this present world,
13 looking for the blessed hope, and the appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
2 Rule and fear are with Him; [He] makes peace in His high places.
11 A fool speaks all his mind; but a wise one keeps it in until afterwards.
1 Therefore, Christ having suffered for us in [the] flesh, also you arm yourselves [with] the same thought, that he suffering in [the] flesh has been made to rest from sin,
2 in order no longer to [live] in [the] lusts of men, but in [the] will of God the remaining time in [the] flesh.
3 For the time of life which is past is enough for us to have worked out the will of the nations, having gone on in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, parties, carousings, and abominable idolatries.
4 In these things they are surprised, [that] you [are] not running with [them] into the same excess of riot, blaspheming.
5 But they shall give account to Him who is ready to judge [the] living and [the] dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all will be made alive.
23 But each in [his] own order: Christ the first-fruit, and afterward they who are Christ's at His coming;
24 then [is] the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God, even the Father; when He makes to cease all rule and all authority and power.
25 for it is right for Him to reign until He has put all the enemies under His feet.
13 No temptation has taken you but [what is] common to man; but God [is] faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but with the temptation also will make a way to escape, so that you may be able to bear [it].
