11 And these were more noble than those of Thessalonica, in that [they received] the Word with all readiness of mind and searched the Scriptures daily [to see] if those things [were so].
9 For on the first of the first month he began to go up from Babylon, and on the first of the fifth month he came to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God on him.
10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do [it], and to teach statutes and judgments in Israel.
15 and that from a babe you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
16 All Scripture [is] God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be perfected, thoroughly furnished to every good work.
13 Until I come, attend to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.
15 [Study] earnestly to present yourself approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
5 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
6 And these words which I command you this day shall be in your heart.
7 And you shall carefully teach them to your sons, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
8 And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
9 And you shall write them upon the posts of your house, and on your gates.
105 NUN. Your word [is] a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it by day and by night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall act wisely.
1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
2 to know wisdom and instruction; to recognize the words of understanding;
3 to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and uprightness;
4 to give sense to the simple, knowledge and judgment to the young man;
5 the wise hears and increases learning; and understanding ones gets wisdom;
6 to understand a proverb and its meaning; the words of the wise, and their acute sayings.
7 I will praise You with uprightness of heart when I have learned Your righteous judgments.
17 Therefore, beloved, knowing beforehand, beware lest being led away with the error of the lawless, you fall from [your] own steadfastness.
18 But grow in grace and [in] knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him [be] the glory, both now and to [the] day of eternity. Amen.
1 My son, forget not My law; but let your heart keep My commandments;
2 for they shall add length of days, and long life, and peace, to you.

24 And answering Jesus said to them, Do you not err because of this, not knowing Scriptures, nor the power of God?
10 About which salvation the prophets sought out and searched out, prophesying concerning the grace for you;
11 searching for what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ made clear within them, testifying beforehand of the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow.
13 Take fast hold of instruction; do not let go; keep her; for she [is] your life.
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your sons, even I.
18 And it shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, he shall write a copy of this law in a book from before the priests the Levites.
19 And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, so that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law, and these statutes, to do them,
20 so that his heart may not be lifted up above his brothers, and that he does not turn aside from the commandment, to the right or the left, so that he may make his days longer in his kingdom, he and his sons, in the midst of Israel.
97 MEM. Oh how I love Your law! It [is] my meditation all the day.
98 Through Your commandments You make me wiser than my enemies, for they [are] ever with me.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers; for Your testimonies [are] my prayer.
4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, so that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.
9 BETH. With what shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.
10 With all my heart I have sought You; do not let me wander from Your commandments.
11 I have hidden Your word in my heart, so that I might not sin against You.
12 Blessed [are] You, O LORD; teach me Your statutes.
13 With my lips I have declared all the judgments of Your mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, [as much as] in all riches.
15 I will think on Your commandments and have respect to Your ways.
16 I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.
23 For the commandment [is] a lamp; and the law [is] light; and reproofs of instruction [are] the way of life;
39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life. And they are the ones witnessing of Me,
