22 Without wisdom, purposes are defeated, but by many wise men they are established.
19 In the multitude of words, sin is not lacking; but he who holds back his lips [is] wise.
15 But if your brother shall trespass against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.
13 One going with slander is a revealer of secrets, but the faithful of spirit keeps the matter hidden.
21 Death and life [are] in the power of the tongue, and those who love it shall eat the fruit of it.
18 My children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
1 O give thanks to the LORD; call on His name; make known His deeds among the people.
7 But when you pray, do not babble vain words, as the nations. For they think that in their much speaking they shall be heard.
9 Never give back evil for evil, or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, [giving] blessing, knowing that you are called to this so that you might inherit blessing.
3 He who keeps his mouth keeps his life; he who opens his lips wide, [it is] ruin to him.
8 Open your mouth for the dumb, for the cause of all the sons [of those] passing away.
1 A soft answer turns away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger.
9 Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from [the] dead, you shall be saved.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
29 Let not any filthy word go out of your mouth, but if any [is] good to building up [in respect of] need, that it may give grace to the ones hearing.
3 Therefore whatever you have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light. And that which you have spoken in the ear in secret rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops.
28 Even a fool, when he [is] silent, is counted wise, and he who shuts his lips [is counted as] a man of understanding.
36 But I say to you that every idle word, whatever men may speak, they shall give account of it in the day of judgment.
12 The words of a wise mouth [are] gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow him.
23 A man [has] joy by the answer of his mouth, and a word in due season, how good [it is] !
8 Let my mouth be filled [with] Your praise, [with] Your honor all the day.
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth the good. And an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth the evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
2 For [in] many [things] we all offend. If anyone does not offend in word, the same [is] a full-grown man, able also to bridle the whole body.
4 A wholesome tongue [is] a tree of life, but crookedness in it [is] a break in the spirit.
19 Therefore, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
