22 For you ought to put off the old man (according to your way of living before) who is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,
23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind.
24 And you should put on the new man, who according to God [was] created in righteousness and true holiness.
12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example of the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name [was] Job. And that man was perfect and upright, and one who feared God and turned aside from evil.
8 He has shown you, O man, what [is] good. And what does the LORD require of you but to do justice and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God?
9 These [are] the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.
11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness.
13 Watch! Stand fast in the faith! Be men! Be strong!
14 Let all your things be done in charity.
12 But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name,
13 who were born, not of bloods, nor of [the] will of [the] flesh, nor of [the] will of man, but [were born] of God.
24 Wisdom [is] before him who has understanding, but the eyes of a fool [are] in the ends of the earth.
31 But we know that God does not hear sinners, but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him.
9 BETH. With what shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.
10 With all my heart I have sought You; do not let me wander from Your commandments.
11 I have hidden Your word in my heart, so that I might not sin against You.
12 Blessed [are] You, O LORD; teach me Your statutes.
13 With my lips I have declared all the judgments of Your mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, [as much as] in all riches.
15 I will think on Your commandments and have respect to Your ways.
16 I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.
1 Blessed [is] the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight [is] only in the law of the LORD; and in His law he meditates day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivulets of water that brings forth its fruit in its seasons, and its leaf shall not wither, and all which he does shall be blessed.
4 The wicked [are] not so, but [are] like chaff which the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
6 There was a man sent from God; his name [was] John.
7 This one came as a witness, to bear witness concerning the Light, so that all might believe through him.
