1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;
2 to know wisdom and instruction; to recognize the words of understanding;
3 to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and uprightness;
4 to give sense to the simple, knowledge and judgment to the young man;
11 Even a child is known by his own doings, whether his work [is] pure and whether [it is] right.
5 For You [are] my hope, O Lord God, my trust from my youth.
30 Even the young shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall;
31 but those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up [with] wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
6 Likewise exhort the young men to be discreet;
10 Therefore remove vexation from your heart, and put away evil from your flesh; for childhood and prime of life [are] vanity.
11 I have hidden Your word in my heart, so that I might not sin against You.
9 BETH. With what shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.
12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example of the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
19 My son, hear and be wise, and guide your heart in the way.
20 Do not be among those who drink much wine, among gluttons for flesh for themselves,
21 for the drunkard and the glutton lose all, and sleepiness shall clothe [a man] with rags.
22 Listen to your father who sired you, and do not despise your mother when she is old.
28 And it shall be afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy; your old men shall dream dreams; your young men shall see visions.
29 And also I will pour out My Spirit on the slaves and on the slave women in those days.
7 Only be strong and very courageous so that you may be careful to do according to all the law which My servant Moses commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may act wisely wherever you go.
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it by day and by night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall act wisely.
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid, neither be dismayed. For the LORD your God [is] with you in all places where you go.
13 Let us walk becomingly, as in [the] day; not in carousings and drinking; not in co-habitation and lustful acts; not in strife and envy.
27 [It is] good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
29 The glory of young men [is] their strength; and the beauty of old men [is] the gray head.
13 A poor and a wise child [is] better than an old and foolish king, who will not be warned any more.
1 Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days do not come, nor the years draw near, when you shall say, I have no pleasure in them.
2 So long as the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, are darkened, or the clouds return after rain,
3 in the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men, are bowed, and the grinders cease because there are few, and those who look out of the windows are darkened,
5 Likewise, younger ones, be subject to older ones, and all being subject to one another. Put on humility. For God resists proud ones, but He gives grace to the humble.
6 Therefore be humbled under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you in due time,
12 both young men and maidens, old men and children;
13 let them praise the name of the LORD; for His name alone is excellent; His glory [is] above the earth and heavens.
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise),
14 I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him [who is] from [the] beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
17 As for these four boys, God gave them knowledge and skill in all writing and wisdom. And Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
18 And at the end of the days that the king had said he would bring them in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.
19 And the king talked with them. And among them all were found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. So they stood before the king.
6 Then I said, Alas, Lord Jehovah! Behold, I do not know to speak; for I [am] a boy.
7 But the LORD said to me, Do not say, I [am] a boy; for you shall go to all that I shall send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak.
8 Do not be afraid of their faces; for I [am] with you to deliver you, says the LORD.
11 For I know the purposes which I am purposing for you, says the LORD; purposes of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
12 Then you shall call on Me, and you shall go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
13 And you shall seek Me and find [Me], when you search for Me with all your heart.
14 And I will be found by you, says the LORD; and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you, says the LORD. And I will bring you again into the place from where I caused you to be exiled.
9 Rejoice, in your youth, young man; and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes; but know that for all these [things] God will bring you into judgment.
1 Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days do not come, nor the years draw near, when you shall say, I have no pleasure in them.
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise),
3 so that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth.
