1 A Song of degrees. Blessed [is] everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways.
2 For you shall surely eat the labor of your hands; you [shall be] happy, and all [is] well with you.
10 Who can find a woman of virtue? For her value [is] far above rubies.
24 He who spares his rod hates his son, but he who loves him chastens him early.
9 Only take heed to yourself and keep your soul carefully, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. But teach them to your sons, and your sons' sons.
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise),
3 so that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth.
12 Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God gives you.
8 My son, hear the instruction of your father, and forsake not the law of your mother;
9 for they [shall be] an ornament of grace to your head and chains around your neck.
20 A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish man despises his mother.
4 Charity has patience, is kind; charity is not envious, is not vain, is not puffed up;
5 does not behave indecently, does not seek her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil.
6 Charity does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth,
7 quietly covers all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
13 As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; and you will be comforted in Jerusalem.
6 Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
25 Strength and honor [are] her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue [is] the law of kindness.
27 She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her sons rise up and call her blessed; her husband [also], and he praises her.
29 Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all.
30 Favor [is] deceitful, and beauty [is] vain, [but] a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.
3 Lo, children [are] the inheritance of the LORD; the fruit of the womb [is] a reward.
