1 Diz o insensato no seu coração:

"Não há Deus."

São corruptos

e praticam abominação;

já não há quem faça o bem.

2 Do céu o Senhor olha

para os filhos dos homens,

para ver se há

quem tenha entendimento,

se há quem busque a Deus.

3 Todos se desviaram

e juntamente se corromperam;

não há quem faça o bem,

não há nem um sequer.

4 Será que não entendem nada

todos esses que praticam

a iniquidade,

que devoram o meu povo

como se comessem pão,

e que não invocam o Senhor?

5 Lá, ficarão tomados

de grande pavor,

porque Deus está

com a linhagem do justo.

6 Vocês querem frustrar

o conselho dos humildes,

mas o Senhor é o refúgio deles.

7 Quem dera que de Sião viesse já

a salvação de Israel!

Quando o Senhor restaurar

a sorte do seu povo,

Jacó exultará

e Israel se encherá de alegria.

1 The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good.

2 The LORD looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that does good, no, not one.

4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not on the LORD.

5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

6 You have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.

7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD brings back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
