1 Reina o Senhor.
Alegre-se a terra,
exultem as muitas ilhas.
2 Nuvens e escuridão o rodeiam,
justiça e juízo
são a base do seu trono.
3 Adiante dele vai um fogo
que consome os inimigos
ao seu redor.
4 Os seus relâmpagos
iluminam o mundo;
a terra os vê e estremece.
5 Os montes se derretem como cera
na presença do Senhor,
na presença do Senhor
de toda a terra.
6 Os céus anunciam a sua justiça,
e todos os povos
veem a sua glória.
7 Sejam envergonhados todos
os que adoram
imagens de escultura,
os que se gloriam de ídolos.
Todos os deuses prostrem-se
diante dele.
8 Sião ouve e se alegra,
as filhas de Judá exultam,
por causa da tua justiça, ó Senhor.
9 Pois tu, Senhor, és o Altíssimo
sobre toda a terra;
tu estás muito acima
de todos os deuses.
10 Vocês que amam o Senhor,
odeiem o mal;
ele protege a vida dos seus santos,
e os livra das mãos dos ímpios.
11 A luz se difunde para o justo,
e a alegria,
para os retos de coração.
12 Alegrem-se no Senhor, ó justos,
e deem graças ao seu santo nome.
1 The LORD reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.
2 Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.
3 A fire goes before him, and burns up his enemies round about.
4 His lightning enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.
5 The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.
7 Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all you gods.
8 Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of your judgments, O LORD.
9 For you, LORD, are high above all the earth: you are exalted far above all gods.
10 You that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserves the souls of his saints; he delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
