18 Discipline your children, for in that there is hope; do not be a willing party to their death.

15 A rod and a reprimand impart wisdom, but a child left undisciplined disgraces its mother.
3 Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.
6 Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it,
15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
4 Fathers, "do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
18 Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
20 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates,
21 so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.
20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.
21 Fathers, "do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.
3 For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.

5 He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach their children,
6 so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children.
7 Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands.
13 Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish them with the rod, they will not die.
14 Punish them with the rod and save them from death.

19 The living, the living —they praise you, as I am doing today; parents tell their children about your faithfulness.
