1 We who are strong in the faith ought to help the weak to carry their burdens. We should not just please ourselves.
12 »This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.
13 »No man has greater love then this that a man lay down his life for his friends.
38 »Give and it shall be given to you. You will receive a good measure. It will be pressed down, shaken together, running over and they will give it to you. For with the measure that you measure out it will be measured to you also.«
14 What good is it, my brothers, if a man says he has faith but he does not have works? Can that faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister is without clothes and in lack of daily food,
16 and one of you says to them: "Go in peace, be warmed and filled;" and yet you do not give them food and clothing, what good is it?
17 Even so, faith without works is dead. It is alone and by itself!
35 »In all things I gave you an example. You by laboring should help the weak. Remember the words of the Lord Jesus: It is more blessed to give than to receive.«
36 When he had spoken he kneeled down and prayed with them all.
37 They all wept profusely, and fell on Pauls neck and kissed him. embraced himhugged him (Genesis 45:14)
38 What grieved them most was his statement that they would not see him again. They accompanied him to the ship.
35 »I was hungry and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you took me in.
36 »I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me.
37 »The righteous will answer him: Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?
38 »When did we see you as a stranger and take you in, or naked and dress you?
39 »When did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?
40 »The King will answer: To the extent that you did it to one of the least of my brothers, you did it to me.
4 Look out for the interest of others and not only for your own personal interest.
16 »Likewise, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
2 Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.
42 »Give to those who ask. Lend to those who borrow.
11 »There will always be some Israelites who are poor and needy. That is why I am commanding you to be generous with them.
13 Contribute to the needs of the holy ones and practice hospitality.
28 He that steals must steal no more. Let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to someone in need.
17 Whoever has this world's goods and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his compassion from him, how does the love of God dwell in him?
33 »Sell your possessions and give to charity. Make yourselves purses that do not get old, a treasure in heaven where moth and rest cannot corrupt and thieves cannot steal.
34 »Your heart will be where your treasure is.
10 The people asked him: »What must we do?«
11 He answered: »He who has two coats let him give to him who has none. He who has food let him do likewise.«
17 When you help the poor needylowlydepressed you lend to Jehovah. He will pay you back.
