9 Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labor.
10 If they fall, the one will lift up his companion. Woe to him who is alone when he falls for he has no one to help him.
11 If two lies down together they keep warm. How can one be warm alone?
12 One can be overpowered by another, two can withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
18 Jehovah God said: »It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.«
33 Each one of you should love his own wife even as himself. The wife should respect her husband.
2 The Shulamite »Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth. Your love is better than wine.
3 »Your good ointment has a pleasing aroma. Your name is like pure ointment. Therefore the maidens do love you.
14 Above all these things, put on love, which is the bond of perfection and unity.
5 »A newly married man must not be drafted into the army or charged with any duty. He shall be free at home one year and shall give happiness to the wife he has married.
18 Let your fountain be blessed. Rejoice with the wife of your youth.
19 She is like a loving deer and a graceful doe. Let her breasts satisfy you at all times. Always be delighted with her love.
20 Why will you be intimate with an immoral woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?
4 Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is not jealous. Love does not brag and is not arrogant proud.
5 Love does not act indecently. It is not selfish. It is not provoked and does not take into account a wrong suffered.
6 Love does not rejoice with evil, but rejoices with the truth.
7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
15 The Beloved »Behold, you are fair, my love. Behold, you are fair. You have doves' eyes.«
16 The Shulamite »Behold, you are handsome, my beloved, yes, pleasant! Also our bed is green.
9 »You have ravished my heart, my sister, and my spouse. You have ravished my heart with one of your eyes, with one chain around your neck.
28 In this way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his own wife loves himself.
29 No man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ also does the congregation.
6 The Shulamite to her Beloved »Set me as a signature ring seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm. For Love is as strong as death. Zeal devotion is as fixed as the grave. And zeal burns like coals of fire, the very flame of Jehovah.
7 »Many waters cannot quench love. Rivers cannot wash it away. If a man would give all the riches of his house for love, it would be utterly despised.«
6 »So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What God has joined together, let no man pull apart separate!«
22 The man who finds a wife finds a good thing. He obtains favor from Jehovah.
22 Then Jehovah made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man. He brought her to the man.
23 The man said: »This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called Woman. This is because she was taken out of Man.«
24 This is the reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife. They will become one flesh.
15 »Did God make you one? Your flesh and spirit belong to him. What does God look for but godly descendants? Do not be unfaithful to the wife of your youth.
