7 The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

6 »Jehovah your God will bless you, as he promised. You will make loans to many nations. But you will not have to borrow from any of them. You will rule many nations. But no nation will ever rule over you.

24 »You cannot serve two masters. You will hate one and love the other. You will be loyal to one master and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money wealthmaterial possessions.

27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due when it is in the power of your hand to do it.

21 The wicked borrows and does not pay back. But the righteous is gracious and gives.

30 »Give to every one who asks of you and do not demand back your goods from he who takes from you.

7 Render therefore to all their due. Provide tribute to whom tribute is due. Give custom to whom custom is owed. Render fear to whom fear is owed and offer honor to whom honor is deserved.

28 »If you plan to build a tower, you sit down first and figure out what it will cost. Then you see if you have enough money to finish the job.

5 You should be free from the love of money. Be content with what you have, for he has said: »I will not leave you. I will not forsake you.«

11 Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished. He who gathers by labor will increase.
