22 A merry heart is good medicine but a broken spirit dries up the bones.

3 He was despised and rejected by men. He was a man of sorrows familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised. We did not consider him to be worth much.

4 He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows. We considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.

36 »I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me.

37 »The righteous will answer him: Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?

38 »When did we see you as a stranger and take you in, or naked and dress you?

39 »When did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?

17 In so doing, that which was spoken through Isaiah was fulfilled. Isaiah wrote: »He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases.«

26 He said: »If you will listen carefully to Jehovah your God and do what he considers right, if you pay attention to his commands and obey all his laws, I will never make you suffer any of the diseases I made the Egyptians suffer. I am Jehovah, who heals you.«

17 Jesus heard this. He said to them: »Those who are well have no need of a medical man but those who are ill do. I have come to care for sinners not the upright.«

4 He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows. We considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.

8 »Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons. You received without paying, now give without being paid.

14 The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness. So who can tolerate a wounded spirit?

7 I was given a painful physical ailment that will keep me from being puffed up with pride because of the many wonderful things I saw. It acts as Satan's messenger to beat me and keep me from being proud.

8 Three times I prayed to God about this and asked him to take it away.

9 He told me: »My grace is sufficient for you for my strength is made perfect in weakness.« Most gladly therefore, I would rather glory in my infirmities frailities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me cover me like a tentdescend upon meabide with me. (Isaiah 40:29-31)

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then I am strong.

35 Jesus went to all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the good news of the kingdom. He healed every sort of disease and every sort of infirmity.

14 Is any among you sick? Let him call the elders of the congregation. Let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of God.

1 Blessed happy is the one who has concern for helpless people. Jehovah will rescue save him in times of trouble.

2 Jehovah will guard him and keep him alive. He will be blessed in the land. Do not place him at the mercy of his enemies.

3 Jehovah will support him on his sickbed. You will restore him to health when he is ill.

14 Heal me, O Jehovah, and I will be healed! Save me and I will be saved! For you are my song of praise.

3 He is the healer of the brokenhearted. He is the one who bandages their wounds.

3 When I kept silent about my sins, my body wasted away and I groaned all day long.

8 Jehovah opens the eyes of the blind. Jehovah raises up those who are bowed down. Jehovah loves the righteous.

13 You know that because of an infirmity of the flesh I preached the good news to you the first time.

14 That which was a temptation to you in my flesh, you did not despise or reject. You received me like an angel messenger of God, even like Christ Jesus.

14 Is any among you sick? Let him call the elders of the congregation. Let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of God.

4 "God will wipe away all tears from their eyes. There will be no more death. There will be no more sorrow nor crying. There will be no more pain! The former things have passed away."

2 He sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
