6 »These words that I command you this day must be in your heart.
7 »Carefully teach them to your sons. Talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way. Speak about them when you lie down, and when you rise up.
1 Blessed are all who reverence Jehovah and live his way.
2 You will certainly eat what your own hands have provided. Blessings to you! May things go well for you!
3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine inside your home. Your children will be like young olive trees around your table.
4 This is how Jehovah will bless the person who fears him.
28 »May God give you of the dew of heaven, the fatness of the earth, and an abundance of grain and new wine.
29 »May peoples serve you. And nations bow down to you. Be master of your brothers. And may your mothers sons bow down to you. Cursed be those who curse you. Blessed be those who bless you.«
28 God blessed them and said to them: »Be fruitful and increase in number. Fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and dominate the birds of the air. Have dominion over every living creature that moves on the ground.«
4 But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show righteousness towards their own family, and to repay their parents: for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
21 »A woman in tribulation has sorrow, because her hour to give birth has come. When she delivers the child, she remembers no more anguish, because of the joy that a man is born into the world.
52 Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
24 He who spares the rod authority hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines instructs him promptly.
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is right.
2 Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise.
3 Then it will go well with you, and you may live long on the earth.
14 But when Jesus saw it he was moved with indignation. He said: »Allow the little children to come to me! Do not turn them away for they belong to the kingdom of God.
6 Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
7 God deals with you like children. Endure discipline instructiontraining. Who is the child whom a father does not discipline?
8 If you are without discipline, you are illegitimate children, and not sons.
15 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child. The rod of discipline instruction will drive it far from him.
25 I have been young, and now I am old, but I have never seen a righteous person abandoned or his descendants begging for food.
26 He is always generous and lends freely. His descendants are a blessing.
1 Listen my sons to what your father teaches you. Pay attention and gain understanding.
4 »Jehovah will bless you with many children, with abundant crops, and with many cattle and sheep.
3 Children are an inheritance from Jehovah. They are a blessing from him.
4 The children born to a man when he is young are like arrows in the hand of a warrior.
5 Blessed is the man who has filled his quiver with them. He will not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the city gate.

3 »I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring. I will give blessing to your descendants.
4 »They will spring up like grass in a meadow, like poplar trees by flowing streams.
7 The righteous man walks in his integrity. He blesses his children.
13 »Your sons will all be taught by Jehovah. Your sons will have an abundance of peace.
11 »Even though you are a sinner, you know how to give good gifts to your children. Think how much more your Father in heaven gives good things to those who ask him!
13 Jehovah has compassion for those who reverence him just as a father has compassion for his children.
1 Observe the love the Father gave to us that we should be called the children of God. That is what we are! For this reason the world does not know us. This is because it did not know him.
39 »The little ones that you said would be taken captive will enter the land. Your children who do not know good from bad will go in. I will give it to them and they will possess it.
15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother.
12 Let our sons in their youth be as grown-up plants, and our daughters as corner pillars fashioned as for a palace.
14 »God will bless you more than any other people. There will not be a male or a female barren among you or your livestock.
12 »Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land Jehovah your God gives you.
13 For you formed my inward parts. You wove me in my mother's womb.
14 I will praise you, for in an awesome way I am wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful and I know this very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you, when I was made in secret, and woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my embryo and all were written in your book; the days ordained for me. Even this before one had taken place.
38 »They will be my people, and I will be their God.
39 »I will give them the same attitude and the same purpose so that they will respect and reverence me as long as they live. This will be for their good and for the good of their children.

1 A wise son makes a father glad: but a foolish son is sorrow depressiongrief for his mother.
4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of God.
4 We will not conceal them from their children, but tell to the generation to come the praises of Jehovah, and his strength and his wondrous works that he has done.
2 His descendants will grow strong on the earth. The family of the upright will be blessed.
21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, that they not be discouraged.
13 Do not withhold discipline from a child. If you spank him with a stick he will not die.
10 I was placed in your care from birth. From my mother's womb you have been my God.
