1 The proverbs 0f Solomon son of David, king of Israel:
2 To know wisdom and instruction. To discern and understand words.
3 To receive instruction with wisdom, justice, judgment and integrity.
4 To give wisdom and refinement to the simple. To the young man knowledge and discretion.
11 Even a child is known by his deeds, whether his work is pure, and whether it is right.
5 Lord Jehovah, I put my hope in you. I have trusted in you since I was young.
30 Even young people grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall.
31 »Those who hope in Jehovah will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary! They will walk and not be faint.«
6 Urge the younger men to be sound in mind.
7 »Be strong and very courageous, that you may be careful to do according to all the Law, which Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
8 »This Book of the Law will not depart out of your mouth. You must meditate intensely studythink deeply on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. Then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
9 »Have I commanded you? Be strong and of a good courage. Do not be afraid, neither be dismayed; for Jehovah your God is with you wherever you go.«
10 Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, and put away evil from your flesh, for childhood and youth are vanity.
11 Your word I have treasured in my heart that I may not sin against you.
12 Praise him you young men and women, old and young together.
13 Let them praise the name of Jehovah because his name is high above all others. His glory is above heaven and earth.
9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to your word.
13 Let us walk honestly as in the daytime, not in rioting and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and loose conduct, not in strife and jealousy.
17 God gave these young people knowledge, understanding, and wisdom of all types of literature and learning. Daniel had understanding and wisdom in all visions and dreams.
18 When the appointed time for learning ended the chief officer brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.
19 The king interviewed them and found out that none was found to be like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore they served the king.
12 Let no man look down on your youth. Be an example to the believers in speech and conduct, in love, in faith and chasteness.
13 Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king who will no longer take advise.
1 Remember your Creator Hebrew: Bara, plural, Creators denotes majesty (Ge 1:26) in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near. You will say: »I have no pleasure in them.«
2 Before the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, are darkened, or the clouds return after the rain:
3 In the day when the keepers of the house will tremble, and the strong men will bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows are darkened,
19 Listen and be wise, my son, and direct your heart in the way.
20 Do not associate with drunkards or gluttons.
21 For the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty and drowsiness will clothe a man with rags.
22 Listen to your father who gave you life. Do not despise your mother when she is old.
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is right.
2 Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise.
3 Then it will go well with you, and you may live long on the earth.
27 It is good for a man to carry the yoke when he is young.
9 Rejoice, O young man, in your youth. Let your heart cheer you in your early days. Walk in the ways of your heart, and in the desires of your eyes. Yet you know that God will bring you into judgment for all these things.
29 The glory of young men is their strength. The honor of old men is their gray haired wisdom and experience.
6 I, Jeremiah, said: »Lord Jehovah, I do not know how to speak. I am only a child!«
7 Jehovah said to me: »Do not say, I am only a child. You must go wherever I send you. You must say whatever I command you to say.
8 »Do not be afraid of people. I am with you. I will rescue you,« says Jehovah.
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is right.
2 Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise.
14 I write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
5 Likewise, you younger men, be subject to the older men. Yes, all of you clothe yourselves with humility and serve one another. God resists the proud, but gives loving kindness to the humble.
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you at the proper time.
11 I know the plans that I have for you, says Jehovah. They are plans for peace and not disaster. They are plans to give you a future filled with hope.
12 Then you will call to me. You will come and pray to me and I will hear you.
13 When you look for me, you will find me. When you wholeheartedly seek me,
14 I will let you find me, declares Jehovah. I will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have scattered you, declares Jehovah. I will bring you back from the place where you are being held captive.
1 Remember your Creator Hebrew: Bara, plural, Creators denotes majesty (Ge 1:26) in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near. You will say: »I have no pleasure in them.«
28 »In the last days I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions! (Ac 2:17; Isa 44:3)
29 »I will also pour out my Spirit upon the male and female servants in those days. (Ac 10:45; Zec 12:10; Eze 36:27)
