26 »What will a man profit, if he gains the whole world, and gives up his life? What will a man give in exchange for his life?
18 We do not look at the things that are seen, but at the things that are not seen. For the things that are seen are temporal for a season. But the things that are not seen are eternal.
11 The rich man's wealth is his strong city. It is his high wall of vanity.
9 Likewise I want women to be adorned in modest clothing, with modesty and soundness of mind; not with braided hair, and gold or pearls or costly clothes;
10 but that which becomes a woman professing godliness through good works.
17 Command those who are rich in this present system not to be high-minded arrogant, not to have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.
8 Remove far from me vanity and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with food necessary for me.
9 Those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and hurtful lusts. These draw men into ruin and destruction.
16 It is better to have a little with respect for Jehovah than great treasure and trouble.
36 »What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?
1 A good name is better than great riches, and loving favor is better than silver and gold.
16 How much better to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding instead of silver!
5 You should be free from the love of money. Be content with what you have, for he has said: »I will not leave you. I will not forsake you.«
10 He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth, with gain. This too is vanity.
26 He coveted greedily all the daylong, but the righteous gives and does not spare.
4 Riches do not profit in the day of wrath. Righteousness delivers from death.
19 »Do not accumulate large amounts of wealth on earth. This is where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal.
20 »Accumulate wealth in heaven where neither moth nor rust consumes, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
5 Will you look for things that do not exist? Riches grow wings and fly away like a bird.
21 Your heart will be where you keep your wealth.
6 Godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 We brought nothing into the world and we can carry nothing out.
8 We should be content with having food and covering.
15 Jesus said: »Be careful, do not covet, for life does not come from your possessions.«
32 The congregation that believed was of one heart and mind. No one claimed his or her own possessions for everything was common property.
21 Jesus then replied: »If you wish to be complete, go sell your possessions and give the money to the poor. You will have wealth in heaven. Then follow me!«
15 We entered this world with nothing and naked and we will leave this world with nothing and naked.
5 Make your members that are upon the earth dead with regard to fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness greed, which is idolatry.
