8 My son, listen to the instruction of your father. Do not forsake the law of your mother.
9 Discipline and education are a graceful ornament on your head, and a golden chain around your neck.
4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of God.
26 He who assaults his father and chases away his mother is a shameful and disgraceful son.
24 The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice and he who gives birth to a wise child will receive joy from him.
6 Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
22 Listen to your father who gave you life. Do not despise your mother when she is old.
15 »If you are not willing to serve him, decide today whom you will serve, the gods your ancestors worshiped in Mesopotamia or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are now living. As for my family and me, we will serve Jehovah.«
16 »Fathers shall not be put to death for their sons, nor shall sons be put to death for their fathers. Everyone shall be put to death for his own sin.
6 Grandchildren are the crowns of old men. Fathers take pride in their children.
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is right.
2 Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise.
3 Then it will go well with you, and you may live long on the earth.
20 He who curses his father or his mother, his lamp will be put out in obscure darkness.
12 »Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land Jehovah your God gives you.
15 The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother.

7 »Carefully teach them to your sons. Talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way. Speak about them when you lie down, and when you rise up.
11 »What father would give his son a stone when he asked for a loaf? What father would give a serpent when his son asked for a fish?
12 »If he asked for an egg would he give a scorpion?
13 »If you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?«
8 If any do not provide for his own, and specially his own household, he denies the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.
21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, that they not be discouraged.
3 Children are an inheritance from Jehovah. They are a blessing from him.
4 The children born to a man when he is young are like arrows in the hand of a warrior.
5 Blessed is the man who has filled his quiver with them. He will not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the city gate.
24 He who spares the rod authority hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines instructs him promptly.
24 This is the reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife. They will become one flesh.
20 Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing in the Lord.
7 God deals with you like children. Endure discipline instructiontraining. Who is the child whom a father does not discipline?
4 But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show righteousness towards their own family, and to repay their parents: for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
1 A wise son makes a father glad: but a foolish son is sorrow depressiongrief for his mother.
