19 He gave thanks. Then he took the bread, broke it and gave it to them, saying: »This represents my body that is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.«
32 Jesus responded: »I speak the truth! It was not Moses who gave you the bread out of heaven. My Father gives you the true bread out of heaven.
33 »For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven. It gives life to the world.«
34 They responded: »Lord, always give us this bread.«
35 Jesus replied: »I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will not hunger. The one who puts active faith in me will never thirst.
26 For as often as you eat this bread, and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till he comes.
11 Jehovah said to Moses:
12 »I have heard my people complain. I said to them: Each evening you will have meat and each morning they will have more than enough bread. Then you will know that I am Jehovah their God.«
13 That evening many quails came and landed everywhere in the camp, and the next morning dew covered the ground.
14 After the dew had gone, the desert was covered with thin flakes that looked like frost.
15 When the children of Israel saw, they said to one another: »What is this?« For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them: »This is the bread Jehovah has given you to eat.«
9 »Our Father in heaven, holy is your name. (Exodus 6:3) (Psalm 83:18) (Isaiah 42:8; Isaiah 54:5; Isaiah 63:16; Isaiah 64:8)
10 »Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:33) (Daniel 2:44) (Revelation 11:15) (Psalm 37:10,29) (Acts 24:15)
11 »Give us this day our daily bread. (Matthew 6:34) (1 Timothy 6:8) (Proverbs 30:8) (Psalm 37:25)
9 He who has a bountiful eye will be blessed for he gives of his bread to the poor.
23 Yet he commanded the clouds above and opened the doors of heaven.
24 He rained down manna upon them to eat and gave them food from heaven.
25 Man did eat the bread of angels. He sent them food in abundance.
25 I have been young, and now I am old, but I have never seen a righteous person abandoned or his descendants begging for food.
3 »He humbled you allowed you to suffer with hunger and then fed you with manna. Neither you nor your fathers had seen this before. He did this to teach you that a person cannot live on bread alone but must live on all everythingevery word that proceeds from the mouth of Jehovah.
1 Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days.
2 Give a portion to seven, and even to eight. You do not know what calamity will be upon the earth.
4 In reply Jesus answered: »It is written; man shall not live on bread alone, but on all everythingevery wordevery utteranceevery declaration that proceeds from the mouth of Jehovah.« (Deuteronomy 8:3)
5 The disciples came from the other side of the sea. They did not think to obtain bread.
6 Jesus said: »Take care to have nothing to do with the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.«
7 They reasoned among themselves, saying: »We took no bread.«
8 Hearing this, Jesus said: »You of little faith, why are you reasoning among yourselves about not having bread?
9 »Do you still not see or remember the five cakes of bread of the five thousand, and the number of baskets you took up?
10 »Or the seven cakes of bread of the four thousand, and the number of baskets you took up?
11 »Why do you not understand I was not talking about bread? Instead, about keeping away from the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees?«
12 Then they realized it was not the leaven of bread he had in mind. It was the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
37 He replied: »You give them food to eat.« They asked: »Should we buy two hundred shillings worth of bread to feed them?«
38 He said« »Find out how many loaves you have? When they knew they said« »Five loaves and two fishes.«
39 He commanded them to sit down by groups upon the green grass.
40 They sat down in groups of hundreds, and fifties.
41 Then he looked up to heaven and blessed the food. He took the five loaves and the two fishes, and broke the loaves into pieces and gave them to his disciples. He also divided the two fishes. He gave the food to his disciples to serve to the people.
42 They all ate and were filled.
43 They collected twelve baskets full of broken pieces of bread and fishes.
14 You cause the grass to grow for the cattle and vegetation for the labor of man. That he may bring forth food from the earth,
15 And wine which makes man's heart glad. That he may make his face shine with oil, and food, which sustains man's heart.
31 The house of Israel called its name manna. It was like coriander seed, white in color. It tasted like wafers made with honey.
48 »I am the bread of life.
49 »Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and they died.
50 »This is the bread that comes down out of heaven that a man may eat of it and not die.
51 »I am the living bread that came down out of heaven. If any man eats of this bread he will live forever. Yes and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.«
16 The cup of blessing we bless, is it not the sharing of the blood of Christ? The bread we break, is it not the sharing of the body of Christ?
17 For we being many are one-bread and one-body. We are all partakers of that one bread.
