17 »Men will hate you because of my name.

18 »Yet not a hair of your head will perish.

19 »You will gain your lives because of your endurance.

17 A horse is a false hope for victory. It does not deliver anyone by its great strength.

18 Remember, the eye of Jehovah is on those who respect him, on those who hope for his loving-kindness.

19 It is on those who deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.

22 Whatever we ask we receive from Him because we obey His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.

3 But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.

17 There I will make the horn of David grow give mighty power to David. I will prepare a lamp light for my anointed one.

18 I will clothe his enemies with shame, but the crown on my anointed one will shine.

31 The horse has prepared the day of battle. However, deliverance is from Jehovah.

8 Jehovah will do everything for me. O Jehovah, your mercy endures forever. Do not let go of what your hands have made.

19 »If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land.

20 »Refuse and rebel and swords will devour you. Jehovah has spoken.«

6 Righteousness keeps the upright in the way. Wickedness subverts the sinner.

2 He alone is my rock and my salvation. He is my stronghold. I cannot be severely shaken.

3 You, O Jehovah, are a protective shield over me. You are my glory. You hold my head high.

18 »You must observe my statutes and keep my judgments, so as to carry them out. That way you may live securely on the land.

9 Jehovah is a refuge for the oppressed, a place of safety in times of trouble.

22 Throw your burden upon Jehovah and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be shaken!

11 For Jehovah God is a sun and shield. Jehovah will give favor and honor. He will not withhold blessing from those who walk faithfully in truth.

8 »I have been with you wherever you have gone. I have destroyed all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name like the names of the greatest men of the earth.

1 If Jehovah does not build the house, it is vain for the builders to work on it. If Jehovah does not protect a city, it is vain for the guard to stay alert.

10 Young lions go hungry and may starve, but those who seek Jehovahs help have all the good things they need.

11 Do not withhold your compassion from me, O Jehovah. May your mercy and your truth always protect me.

1 David: Blessed be my rock strength Jehovah. He trained my hands to fight and my fingers to do battle,

2 My loving kindness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; and my shield in whom I trust; who subdues my people under me.

10 The name of Jehovah is a strong tower. The righteous runs into it for protection.

7 They will not come near you, even though a thousand may fall dead beside you or ten thousand at your right side.

15 »I do not pray that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.

10 You who love Jehovah hate evil! He preserves his anointed ones. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

18 We know that no one who is born of God practices sin. He who was born from God watches over himself, and the evil one does not touch him.

8 It is better to trust in Jehovah than to depend on people.

7 »Ask and it will be given you. Seek and you will find. Knock and it will be opened for you.

8 »Everyone who asks receives. Everyone who seeks finds, and everyone who knocks will have it opened.

16 You open your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

6 So that with good confidence courage we say: »Jehovah is my helper; I will not fear: What shall man do to me?« (Psalm 56:11)

11 Put on the full armor every implement of God, that you may be able to stand against the cunning inventiveclever methods of the devil.

11 »I am no more in the world but they are in the world. I come to you Holy Father. Keep them in your name, which you have given to me, that they may be one*, even as we are. *Greek: heis; united in purpose and love

12 »While I was with them I kept them in your name, which you have given to me. I guarded them, and not one of them perished, except the son of perdition; that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

1 Preserve and protect me, O God, because I take refuge in you.

11 But let all who take refuge in you rejoice. Let them ever sing for joy because you defend them. Let those who love your name exult in you.

12 You bless the righteous man, O Jehovah. You surround him with favor as with a shield.

10 You give salvation to kings. You rescue David your servant from the evil sword.

14 »Jehovah will fight for you while you keep silent.«

11 But the king will find joy in God. Everyone who takes an oath by God will speak praise, but the mouths of liars will be shut.

23 Guard your heart with all diligence for out of it come the source of life.

8 »I ask you: will you rob and defraud God? Of course not, yet you are robbing and defrauding me! How have we robbed and defrauded? You ask. In the matter of tithes and offerings.

9 »A curse is on all of you because the whole nation is cheating me.

10 »Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse. Test me, said Jehovah of Hosts, and see if I will open the windows of heaven and pour out showers of blessing upon you until there is no more want.

27 »The eternal God is a dwelling place. Underneath are the everlasting arms. He drove out the enemy from before you, and said: Destroy!

1 Jehovah is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the stronghold of my life. Who is there to be afraid of?

6 Jehovah gives wisdom. From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

7 He stores up insightful soundsubstantial wisdom for the upright. He is a shield for those who walk in integrity.

8 He guards those on paths of justice. He watches over the way of his godly ones.

7 Indeed, the king trusts Jehovah, and through the mercy of the Most High, he will not be moved.

8 Your hand spirit and power will discover all your enemies. Your powerful hand will find all who hate you.

9 When you appear, you will make them burn like a blazing furnace. Jehovah will swallow them up in his anger. Fire will devour them.

1 God is our refuge and strength, a ready help in times of trouble.

30 God's way is perfect! The word of Jehovah has proven to be true. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.

25 The righteous eats to satisfaction. The belly of the wicked is in need.

4 Sing to God, sing praises to his name: extol him who rides upon the heavens by his name, Jehovah, and rejoice before him.

5 In his holy habitation God is a father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows.

1 I will lift up my eyes to the mountains from where my help comes.

2 My help comes from Jehovah, who made heaven and earth.

3 He will not allow your foot to slip. He who keeps you will not slumber.

4 Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 Jehovah is your keeper. Jehovah is your shade on your right hand.

6 The sun will not strike you by day. The moon will not strike you by night.

7 Jehovah will protect you from all evil. He will protect preserve you.

8 May Jehovah guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever.

22 Jehovah protects and redeems his servants. All who take refuge in him will never be condemned.

5 Every word of God is pure. He is a shield to those who trust him.

17 »Weapons forged against you will not prevail! You will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of Jehovah and this is their vindication from me,« declares Jehovah.

1 Preserve and protect me, O God, because I take refuge in you.

12 Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places.

8 I always keep Jehovah in front of me. When he is at my right hand assisting me, I cannot be moved.

29 »Please bless my descendants and let them be your chosen kings for a very long time. You have already promised, and I am sure that you will bless my family from generation to generation.«

5 »Jehovah of Hosts will defend Jerusalem like a hovering bird. He will defend it and rescue it. He will pass over it and protect it.«

17 »Learn to do good wellright. Seek justice. Correct oppressors. Defend orphans. Plead the case of widows.«

32 »Who is God but Jehovah? Who is a rock other than our God?

7 Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble! He knows protectstakes care of those who take refuge in him.

8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep. For you alone, O Jehovah, make my dwelling safe and secure.

12 »May the beloved of Jehovah dwell in security by him who shields him all the day. He dwells between his shoulders.«

4 He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge. His truth is your shield and armor.

10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some by longing for it have been led away from the faith. They have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

8 »Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

3 Trust Jehovah and do good things. Live in the land, and practice being faithful.

1 O Jehovah, look how my enemies have increased! Many are attacking me.

2 Many are saying about me: »Even with God on his side, he will not have victory deliverancesalvation.«

3 You, O Jehovah, are a protective shield over me. You are my glory. You hold my head high.

4 I call aloud to Jehovah. He answers me from his holy mountain.

5 I lie down and sleep. I wake up again because Jehovah continues to sustain me.

6 I am not afraid of the tens of thousands who have taken positions against me on all sides.

19 Thanks be to Jehovah, who daily carries our burdens for us. God is our salvation.

26 »»I will bless them and the places around my hill. I will send rain at the right time. These showers will be a blessing to them.

1 Jehovah is my shepherd; I shall not want.

3 You will keep the steadfast mind in perfect peace, because he trusts hopes in you.

7 Reveal your miraculous deeds of loving-kindness, O Savior of those who find refuge by your side from those who attack them.

8 Keep me as if I were the pupil apple of your eye center of attention. Hide me in the shadow of your wings.

9 Hide me from wicked people who violently attack me, from my deadly enemies who surround me.

7 He executes justice for the oppressed. He gives food to the hungry. Jehovah sets the prisoners free.

8 Jehovah opens the eyes of the blind. Jehovah raises up those who are bowed down. Jehovah loves the righteous.

9 Jehovah protects the strangers. He supports the fatherless and the widow, but he overthrows the way of the wicked.

1 Jehovah will answer you in times of trouble. The name of the God of Jacob will protect you.

2 He will send you help from his holy place. He will support you from Zion.

26 Jehovah will be your confidence. He will keep your foot from stumbling.

20 Guard me and save me! Do not let me be humiliated for I have taken refuge in you.

21 Integrity and honesty will protect me because I wait for you.

6 Jehovah protects defenseless people simple ones. When I was weak, he saved me.

7 I will be at peace again because Jehovah has been good to you.

8 You saved me from death. You saved my eyes from tears and my feet from stumbling.

9 I will walk in Jehovahs presence in the land of the living.

8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep. For you alone, O Jehovah, make my dwelling safe and secure.

7 »The Lord Jehovah will do nothing without revealing his secrets to his servants the prophets.

114 You are my hiding place and my shield! I wait for your word.

9 He who walks with integrity walks safely. He who perverts his ways will be found out.

12 A prudent man anticipates evil and hides; but the simple pass on, and are punished.

35 Speaking to them he asked: »When I sent you out without purse, and wallet, and shoes, did you lack anything?« They said: »Nothing.«

1 He who lives under the shelter of the Most High will remain in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say to Jehovah: »You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.«

12 Wisdom is a shelter just as money is a shelter. The advantage of knowledge is that wisdom gives lift to those who have it.

14 Even so, has the Lord ordained that they who preach the good news should earn their living from the good news?

26 Respect for Jehovah builds strong confidence. Your children will have a place of refuge.

22 »You will receive the things you ask for in prayer when you have faith.«

7 The angel of Jehovah camps around those who reverence him, and he rescues them.

20 We wait for Jehovah for he is our help and our shield.

11 »I establish my covenant with you: Never again will the waters of a flood destroy all life. Never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.«

7 You are my hiding place. You protect me from trouble. You surround me with joyous songs of salvation.

16 But I will sing about your strength. In the morning I will joyfully sing about your loving-kindness. You have been my stronghold and a place of safety in times of trouble.

13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

6 Therefore, let us not sleep like others do. But let us watch and be sober.

25 »For I satisfy the weary ones and refresh everyone filled with sorrow.«

11 »Even though you are a sinner, you know how to give good gifts to your children. Think how much more your Father in heaven gives good things to those who ask him!

5 Every word of God is pure. He is a shield to those who trust him.

29 »Do two sparrows sell for a penny? Not one of them will fall on the ground without your Father knowing.

30 »Even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

31 »Do not fear! You are more valuable than many sparrows.

6 »Be determined and with good courage. Do not be afraid of them. Your God, Jehovah, will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.

10 »I, Jehovah, am your God! I brought you up from the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide and I will fill it.

9 »You, O Jehovah, are my refuge!« You have made the Most High your home.

10 No harm will come to you. No sickness will come near your house.

4 Even in your old age with gray hair I am he, I am he who will support you. I have made you and I will bear your burden take care of you. I will sustain supportstrengthen you and I will rescue you keep you safe.

7 Be subject to God! Resist Satan the Devil and he will flee from you.

8 I always keep Jehovah in front of me. When he is at my right hand assisting me, I cannot be moved.

31 What shall we then say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
