10 While we were with you, we used to tell you: »Whoever refuses to work is not allowed to eat.«
11 We say this because we hear that there are people among you who are lazy and who do nothing except meddle in other peoples business.
12 In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command and warn them to lead orderly lives and work to earn their own living.
31 Whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do everything to the glory of God.
23 Whatever you do, work at it without reservation, as to God, and not to men.
6 Go to the ant, you lazy person. Consider her ways and be wise!
7 The lowly ant has no guide or overseer.
8 It prepares its food in the summer and gathers food at the harvest.
9 How long will you sleep, O lazy person? When will you arise from your sleep?
10 »A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest.
11 Your poverty comes like a traveler. Your need comes like an armed man.
9 He is lazy in his work. His brother destroys.
23 In all labor there is profit: but idle chatter leads only to destitution.
17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus. Give thanks to God the Father through him.
12 »Truly I tell you, he who exerts active faith in me will do the works that I do. In fact he will do greater works than these. I go to the Father.
24 The hand of the diligent will bear rule. The lazy will be under forced labor.
24 The hand of the diligent will bear rule. The lazy will be under forced labor.
14 Do everything with love.
12 I am certain that there is nothing better for a man than to rejoice and to do good works in life.
13 Every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor. It is the gift of God.
14 Do all things without complaining grumblingmurmuring and questioning disputing.
15 That way you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. You are seen as lights in the world.
4 He becomes poor who deals with a lazy hand. The hand of the diligent makes rich.
22 The blessing of Jehovah makes rich and he adds no grief to it.
15 Be diligent to be presented approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
15 Be diligent to be presented approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
3 Commit your works to Jehovah and your thoughts will be firmly established.
3 Commit your works to Jehovah and your thoughts will be firmly established.
9 Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labor.
13 Do not love sleep or you will come to poverty. Open your eyes and be satisfied with bread.
19 For every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, He has empowered him to eat because of them. He should receive his reward and rejoice in his labor. This is the gift of God.
23 Whatever you do, work at it without reservation, as to God, and not to men.
24 You know that God will give you the reward of the inheritance when you serve the Master, Christ.
8 God is able to make all grace abound toward you. You have plenty of everything you need and should abound in every good work.
26 »Look at the birds of the sky, they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you worth more than they?
8 Watch yourselves that you do not lose the things that we worked to produce. You may receive a full reward.
4 I have learned why people work so hard to succeed. It is because they envy the things their neighbors have. But it is vanity! It is like chasing the wind.
16 God inspired all Scripture! It is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness. Greek: theopneustos: God-breathed
17 Thus the man of God may be completely equipped for every good work.
58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast and unmovable. Always have plenty to do in the work of the Lord, for you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
18 This is what I have seen. It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink and enjoy the good of his labor. He labors under the sun all the days of his life. For God gives this to him as his allotment inheritance.
7 with goodwill doing service, as to God, and not to men.
8 You know that whatever good thing each person does, the same shall he receive again from God, whether he be slave or free.
11 Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, and mind your own business, and work with your hands, as we command you.
12 That way you may walk honestly in the eyes of those on the outside and lack nothing.
13 Who will harm you if you are eager to do good?
8 There is a man who is by himself, without a companion. He is without son or brother. There is no end to all his work. He never has enough wealth. Nor is his eye satisfied with riches. He never asks: »For whom do I labor and deprive myself of pleasure?« This too is vanity and a terrible problem.
10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, where you are going.
28 He that steals must steal no more. Let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to someone in need.
9 There remains then a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
10 He who enters into his rest also rests from his own works, just as God did from his.
24 »I do not consider my life of any account. It is not dear to me so that I may finish the race, and I may accomplish the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to preach the good news of the grace of God.
17 Let the kindness of Jehovah our God be with us. Confirm for us the work of our hands. Yes, confirm the work of our hands.
11 Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished. He who gathers by labor will increase.
