3 Então Jesus lhes contou esta parábola: 4 "Se um homem tiver cem ovelhas e uma delas se perder, o que acham que ele fará? Não deixará as outras noventa e nove no pasto e buscará a perdida até encontrá-la? 5 E, quando a encontrar, ele a carregará alegremente nos ombros e a levará para casa. 6 Quando chegar, reunirá os amigos e vizinhos e dirá: ‘Alegrem-se comigo, pois encontrei minha ovelha perdida!’. 7 Da mesma forma, há mais alegria no céu por causa do pecador perdido que se arrepende do que por noventa e nove justos que não precisam se arrepender."
3 And he spoke this parable to them, saying,
4 What man of you, having a hundred sheep, and having lost one of them, does not leave behind the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go for that which was lost until he finds it?
5 And when he finds it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 And when he comes to the house, he calls together his men friends and his men neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, because I have found my sheep that was lost.
7 I say to you, that thus there will be joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous men who have no need of repentance.
