1 Amo o Senhor, porque ele ouve a minha voz

e as minhas orações.

2 Porque ele se inclina para ouvir,

orarei enquanto viver.

3 A morte me envolveu com suas cordas,

e os terrores da sepultura me dominaram;

não via outra coisa senão sofrimento e tristeza.

4 Então clamei pelo nome do Senhor:

"Livra-me, Senhor!".

5 O Senhor é compassivo e justo;

o nosso Deus é misericordioso!

6 O Senhor protege os ingênuos;

eu estava diante da morte, e ele me salvou.

7 Volte, minha alma, a descansar,

pois o Senhor lhe tem sido bom.

8 Ele livrou minha alma da morte,

meus olhos, das lágrimas,

meus pés, da queda.

9 Por isso, andarei na presença do Senhor

enquanto viver aqui na terra.

10 Eu cri, por isso disse:

"Estou profundamente aflito!".

11 Em meu desespero, declarei:

"Todos são mentirosos!".

12 Que posso oferecer ao Senhor

por tudo que ele me tem feito?

13 Celebrarei meu livramento

e louvarei o nome do Senhor.

14 Cumprirei meus votos ao Senhor

na presença de todo o seu povo.

15 O Senhor se importa profundamente

com a morte de seus fiéis.

16 Ó Senhor, sou teu servo,

sim, teu servo, teu humilde servo;

tu me livraste de minhas correntes.

17 Oferecerei a ti um sacrifício de ação de graças

e louvarei o nome do Senhor.

18 Cumprirei meus votos ao Senhor

na presença de todo o seu povo,

19 na casa do Senhor,

no meio de Jerusalém.

1 I love LORD because he hears my voice and my supplications.

2 Because he has inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call as long as I live.

3 The cords of death encompassed me, and the pains of Sheol got hold upon me. I found trouble and sorrow.

4 Then I called upon the name of LORD. O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

5 Gracious is LORD, and righteous. Yea, our God is merciful.

6 LORD preserves the simple. I was brought low, and he saved me.

7 Return to thy rest, O my soul, for LORD has dealt bountifully with thee.

8 For thou have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from falling.

9 I will walk before LORD in the land of the living.

10 I believed, therefore I have spoken, but I was greatly afflicted.

11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.

12 What shall I render to LORD for all his benefits toward me?

13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of LORD.

14 I will pay my vows to LORD, yea, in the presence of all his people.

15 Precious in the sight of LORD is the death of his sanctified.

16 O LORD, truly I am thy servant. I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid. Thou have loosed my bonds.

17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of LORD.

18 I will pay my vows to LORD, yea, in the presence of all his people,

19 in the courts of LORD's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye LORD.
