1 Até quando, Senhor, te esquecerás de mim? Será para sempre?

Até quando esconderás de mim o teu rosto?

2 Até quando terei de lutar com a angústia em minha alma,

com a tristeza em meu coração a cada dia?

Até quando meu inimigo terá vantagem sobre mim?

3 Volta-te e responde-me, Senhor, meu Deus!

Restaura o brilho de meus olhos, ou morrerei.

4 Não permitas que meus inimigos digam: "Nós o derrotamos!";

não deixes que se alegrem com meu tropeço.

5 Eu, porém, confio em teu amor;

por teu livramento me alegrarei.

6 Cantarei ao Senhor,

porque ele é bom para mim.

1 How long, O LORD? Will thou forget me forever? How long will thou hide thy face from me?

2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

3 Consider [and] answer me, O LORD my God. Lighten my eyes, lest I sleep the death,

4 lest my enemy say, I have prevailed against him, [lest] my adversaries rejoice when I am moved.

5 But I have trusted in thy loving kindness. My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

6 I will sing to LORD because he has dealt bountifully with me.
