1 Das profundezas do desespero, Senhor,
clamo a ti.
2 Escuta minha voz, ó Senhor;
dá ouvidos à minha oração.
3 Senhor, se mantivesses um registro de nossos pecados,
quem, ó Senhor, sobreviveria?
4 Tu, porém, ofereces perdão,
para que aprendamos a te temer.
5 Espero no Senhor,
sim, espero nele;
em sua palavra, depositei minha esperança.
6 Anseio pelo Senhor,
mais que as sentinelas anseiam pelo amanhecer;
sim, mais que as sentinelas anseiam pelo amanhecer.
7 Ó Israel, ponha sua esperança no Senhor;
pois no Senhor há amor
e transbordante redenção.
8 Ele próprio resgatará Israel
de todos os seus pecados.

My soul waits, and in his word do I hope,6 my soul for LORD more than watchmen for the morning, watchmen for the morning.7 O Israel, hope in LORD, for with LORD there is loving kindness, and with him is plentiful redemption.8 And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
