1 Louvado seja o Senhor!

Que todo o meu ser louve o Senhor.

2 Louvarei o Senhor enquanto eu viver;

cantarei a meu Deus até o último suspiro.

3 Não confiem nos poderosos;

não é neles que encontrarão salvação.

4 Quando sua vida se vai, voltam ao pó,

e todos os seus planos morrem com eles.

5 Como são felizes os que têm o Deus de Jacó como seu auxílio,

os que põem sua esperança no Senhor, seu Deus.

6 Ele fez os céus e a terra,

o mar e tudo que neles há;

ele cumpre suas promessas para sempre.

7 Faz justiça aos oprimidos

e alimenta os famintos.

O Senhor liberta os prisioneiros.

8 O Senhor abre os olhos dos cegos.

O Senhor levanta os abatidos.

O Senhor ama os justos.

9 O Senhor protege os estrangeiros

e cuida dos órfãos e das viúvas,

mas frustra os planos dos perversos.

10 O Senhor reinará para sempre;

ele será seu Deus, ó Sião, por todas as gerações.

Louvado seja o Senhor!

1 Praise ye LORD. Praise LORD, O my soul.

2 While I live I will praise LORD. I will sing praises to my God while I have any being.

3 Put not your trust in rulers, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

4 His breath goes forth, he returns to his earth. In that very day his thoughts perish.

5 Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in LORD his God,

6 who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps truth forever,

7 who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. LORD releases the prisoners.

8 LORD opens [the eyes of] the blind. LORD raises up those who are bowed down. LORD loves the righteous.

9 LORD preserves the sojourners. He upholds the fatherless and widow. But the way of the wicked he turns upside down.

10 LORD will reign forever, thy God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise ye LORD.
