Não façam imagens nem esculturas de ídolos: seja do que for que viva nos ares, na terra ou nos mares. 
Não se inclinem perante elas, nem lhes prestem adoração. Porque eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus. Não admito partilhar o vosso culto com outros deuses; e castigo a maldade dos que me ofendem até à terceira e até à quarta geração. 
Mas dispenso o meu amor sobre milhares dos que me amam e me obedecem. 
Não façam uso do meu nome de uma forma irreverente. Não escaparão ao castigo se o fizerem. 
Honrem o vosso pai e a vossa mãe, para que tenham uma longa vida na terra que o Senhor vosso Deus vos vai dar. 
Não matem. 
Não adulterem. 
Não roubem. 
Não façam uma acusação falsa contra outra pessoa. 
Não cobicem o que os outros têm: a casa, a mulher, o gado e animais de carga - nada. 

You will have no other gods before me. 
You will not make for yourself a graven image, nor any likeness [of any thing] that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 
You will not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I Yahweh your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the sons, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me, 
and showing loving-kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments. 
You will not take the name of Yahweh your God in vain; for Yahweh will not hold him innocent that takes his name in vain. 
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 
Six days you will labor, and do all your work; 
but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God: you will not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your male slave, nor your female slave, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is inside your gates: 
for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day: therefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it. 
Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you. 
You will not kill. 
You will not commit adultery. 
You will not steal. 
You will not bear false witness against your fellow man. 
You will not covet your fellow man's house, you will not covet your fellow man's wife, nor his male slave, nor his female slave, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your fellow man's.
