Os descendentes de Noé são os seguintes: Sem, Cam e Jafete que lhe nasceram antes do dilúvio. 
Os filhos de Jafete foram: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javã, Tubal, Meseque e Tiras. 
Os filhos de Gomer: Asquenaz, Rifa e Togarma. E os filhos de Javã: Elisá, Tarsis, Quintim e Dodanim. 
Os descendentes destes tornarm-se povos marítimos, conquistando terra além mar, fomando nações, cada uma com a sua língua diferente. 
Os filhos de Cam foram: Cuche, Mizraim, Pute e Canaã. 
Os filhos de Cuche: Seba, Havila, Sabta, Rama e Sabteca. E os filhos de Rama: Seba e Dedã. 
Um dos descendentes de Cuche foi Nimrode que se tornou um dos senhores mais poderosos da terra. Era um grande caçador, e Deus abençoou-o de tal forma que o povo costumava dizer: Que Deus te faça um grande caçador, à maneira de Nimrode. O seu reino incluia grandes cidades como Abel, Ereque, Acade e Calné, na terra de Sinar. E daqui estendeu-se para a Assíria onde edificou Nínive, Reobote-Ir, Cala, Resen (entre Nínive e Cala), que era a maior cidade daquele império. 
Mizraim foi pai dos ludim, anamim, leabim, naftuim, patrusim, casluim (de quem descendem os filisteus) e caftorim. Canaã teve Sidom, o seu filho mais velho, e depois Hete. Enfim, deste descendem todos estes povos: jebuseus, amorreus, girgaseus, heveus, arqueus, sineus, arvadeus, zemareus, hamateus, que se espalharam até Sidom e Gerar, chegando ao limite de Gaza. Foram mesmo a Sodoma e Gomorra e a Adma e Zeboim perto de Lasa. 
Estes são os descendentes de Cam que se espalharam, formando povos e nações com as suas diferentes línguas. 
Os filhos de Sem foram: Elão, Assur, Arfaxade, Lude e Arã. Este último foi pai de: Uz, Hul, Geter e Mas. E Arfaxade teve Sala e este Eber. A Eber nasceram-lhe dois filhos: Pelegue (porque foi durante a sua vida que os povos de todo o mundo começaram a separar-se e a dispersar-se) e Joctã, seu irmão. Este foi pai de Almoda, Selefe, Hazarmave, Jera, Hadorão, Uzal, Dicla, Obal, Abimael, Seba, Ofir, Havila e Jobabe. Todos estes descendentes de Joctã viveram entre Messa e Sefar, que é uma montanha do oriente. 
Aqui estão os descendentes de Sem, segundo os povos e as nações que foram formando, com as suas línguas próprias e a localização geográfica respectiva. 
É esta a relação dos descendentes de Noé, a partir dos quais se formaram as nações da terra, depois do dilúvio. 

Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, [namely], of Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and to them were sons born after the flood. 
The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. 
And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. 
And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim. 
Of these were the isles of the nations divided in their lands, every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. 
And the sons of Ham: Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan. 
And the sons of Cush: Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah: Sheba, and Dedan. 
And Cush begot Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. 
He was a mighty hunter before Yahweh: therefore it is said, Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before Yahweh. 
And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, and Accad--all of them in the land of Shinar. 
Out of that land he went forth into Assyria, and built Nineveh, and Rehoboth-ir, and Calah, 
and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (the same is the great city). 
And Mizraim begot Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim, 
and Pathrusim, and Casluhim (from where went forth the Philistines), and Caphtorim. 
And Canaan begot Sidon his firstborn, and Heth, 
and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite, 
and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite, 
and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanite spread abroad. 
And the border of the Canaanite was from Sidon, as you go toward Gerar, to Gaza; as you go toward Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim, to Lasha. 
These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, in their nations. 
And to Shem, the father of all the sons of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, to him also were sons born. 
The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram. 
And the sons of Aram: Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash. 
And Arpachshad begot Shelah; and Shelah begot Eber. 
And to Eber were born two sons: The name of the one was Peleg. For in his days was the earth divided. And his brother's name was Joktan. 
And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah, 
and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah, 
and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba, 
and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan. 
And their dwelling was from Mesha, as you go toward Sephar, the mountain of the east. 
These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations. 
These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and of these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
