As Escrituras mandam: 'Adorarás o Senhor teu Deus.
1 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent{}; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
2 And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishers.
3 And he says to them, Come{} after me, and I will make you{} fishers of men. And they immediately left the nets, and followed him.
4 And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, preparing their nets; and he called them.
5 And they immediately left the boat and their father, and followed him.
6 And they go into Capernaum; and right away on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught.
7 And they were astonished at his teaching: For he taught them as [one] having authority, and not as their scribes.
8 And right away there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
9 saying, What do we have to do with you, Jesus you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are, the Holy One of God.
10 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold your peace, and come out of him.
11 And the unclean spirit, tearing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.
