11 These people were nobler than those in Thessalonica. They welcomed the message with all readiness and examined the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.
15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which can give you wisdom to gain salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
16 All Scripture is divinely inspired and is useful for teaching, for proof, for correction of error, for education in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
13 Until I come give attention to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.
15 Be earnest in presenting yourself to God as a tested man, a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, rightly handling the message of truth.
4 All that was written of old was written for our instruction, in order that by patience and by the encouragement of the Scriptures we may have hope.

11 inquired and searched, trying to find out what time, or what sort of time, the Spirit of Christ which was in them was disclosing when it witnessed beforehand regarding the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.
17 You, then, beloved, since you know these things beforehand, be on your guard not to be led away by the error of the lawless and fall from your own steadfastness,
18 but grow in grace and in knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory now and to the day of eternity!
