36 But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, not even the Son, but the Father alone.
37 For, as the days of Noah were, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
38 As in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah went into the ark,
39 and they knew nothing until the flood came and swept them all away, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
1 BUT regarding times and dates, brethren, you do not need to have me write to you.
2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
3 When they are saying, "Peace and safety," then sudden destruction is upon them, like the pangs upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.
9 He said this and then, while they were looking on, he was taken up and a cloud lifted him from their sight.
10 They were gazing into the sky as he went, when suddenly two men in white robes were standing beside them
11 and said, "Men of Galilee, why are you standing and looking up into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way that you have seen him go into heaven."
11 Since all of these things are to be dissolved, what sort of persons ought you to be in holy lives and piety,
12 you who are looking for and hastening toward the coming of the day of God, when the blazing heavens will be dissolved and the burning elements melted?
13 But according to his promise we are expecting new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness will dwell.
20 He who bears this testimony says, "Yes, I am coming soon." Amen, come, Lord Jesus.
8 Do not forget this one thing, beloved, that one day with the Lord is like a thousand years and a thousand years are like one day.
9 The Lord is not slow about what he has promised, as some think of slowness, but is long-suffering toward us, wishing not to have any perish but to have all come to a change of heart.
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. On that day the heavens will pass away with a loud noise and the burning elements will be dissolved and the earth and the things in it will not be found.
32 "But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, not even the Son, but the Father only.
26 Whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when he comes in his glory and that of his Father and of the holy angels.
1 WITH regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to meet him, I beg you, brethren,
2 not to be quickly unsettled in mind nor excited by either a revelation or by a message or a letter supposed to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord is close at hand.
3 Let no one lead you astray in any way, because it will not come until the Apostasy has first come and the Man of Lawlessness has been revealed \'97 the Son of Perdition,
4 who opposes and exalts himself above everything called God and every object of worship, so that he enters the Temple of God and seats himself there, declaring that he himself is God.
24 "But in those days, after that misery, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give her light
25 and the stars will be falling from heaven and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.
26 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
27 Then he will send out his angels and will gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the farthest bound of earth to the farthest bound of heaven.
11 Then I saw heaven open and there was a white horse, and he who was sitting on it was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
12 His eyes are a flame of fire and on his head are many diadems. He has a name written which no one but himself knows,
13 and he is clothed in a garment dipped in blood and his name has been called The Word of God.
14 The armies that are in heaven follow him on white horses clothed in fine linen white and clean.
15 From his mouth issues a sharp sword to smite the nations. He will shepherd them with a rod of iron, and he treads the winepress of the fierce wrath of God Almighty.
16 He has on his robe and on his thigh a name written, "King of kings and Lord of lords."
16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel and with God's trumpet-call, and first the dead in Christ will rise.
17 Then we, the living, who are left, will be caught up along with them into the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall forever be with the Lord.
12 I am coming soon and my reward is with me, to pay each in full as his work is.
27 And as it is appointed for men once for all to die and after this comes judgment,
28 so Christ was once for all offered to bear the sins of many and will appear the second time, apart from sin, to those who are looking for him, and bring them salvation.
2 In my Father's house are many abiding places. If it were not so I would have told you.
3 For I am going to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
42 Watch, therefore, for you do not know what day your Master is coming.
43 But this you do know, that if the householder had known in which watch the thief was coming he would have watched and would not have let his house be broken into.
44 Therefore be you also ready, for in an hour that you do not think the Son of Man is coming.
31 "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne
32 and all the nations will be assembled before him. And he will divide them one from another as a shepherd divides the sheep from the goats.
33 He will place the sheep on his right hand and the goats on his left.
