10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this command: If any one will not work, let him not eat.
7 Likewise you husbands, live considerately with your wives, bestowing honor on the woman as the weaker sex, since you are joint heirs of the grace of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered.
13 Be watchful, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong.
19 No, for I have chosen him, that he may charge his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice; so that the LORD may bring to Abraham what he has promised him."
19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.
18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit,
23 Whatever your task, work heartily, as serving the Lord and not men,
8 If any one does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his own family, he has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,
2 Now a bishop must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, dignified, hospitable, an apt teacher,
3 no drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, and no lover of money.
4 He must manage his own household well, keeping his children submissive and respectful in every way;
4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
