4 Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.
4 on account of sins. When our transgressions prevail over us, thou dost forgive them.
16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, "Surely the LORD is in this place; and I did not know it."
17 And he was afraid, and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven."
44 "Our fathers had the tent of witness in the wilderness, even as he who spoke to Moses directed him to make it, according to the pattern that he had seen.
45 Our fathers in turn brought it in with Joshua when they dispossessed the nations which God thrust out before our fathers. So it was until the days of David,
46 who found favor in the sight of God and asked leave to find a habitation for the God of Jacob.
47 But it was Solomon who built a house for him.
48 Yet the Most High does not dwell in houses made with hands; as the prophet says,
49 Heaven is my throne, and earth my footstool. What house will you build for me, says the Lord, or what is the place of my rest?
50 Did not my hand make all these things?'
12 And Jesus entered the temple of God and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons.
13 He said to them, "It is written, My house shall be called a house of prayer'; but you make it a den of robbers."
1 Thus says the LORD: "Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool; what is the house which you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest?
2 All these things my hand has made, and so all these things are mine, says the LORD. But this is the man to whom I will look, he that is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word.
8 "See the man who would not make God his refuge, but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and sought refuge in his wealth!"
13 The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers at their business.
15 And making a whip of cords, he drove them all, with the sheep and oxen, out of the temple; and he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables.
16 And he told those who sold the pigeons, "Take these things away; you shall not make my Father's house a house of trade."
17 His disciples remembered that it was written, "Zeal for thy house will consume me."
19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? You are not your own;
10 Behold our shield, O God; look upon the face of thine anointed!
1 A Song of Ascents. Of David.
6 but Christ was faithful over God's house as a son. And we are his house if we hold fast our confidence and pride in our hope.
15 if I am delayed, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and bulwark of the truth.
6 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies; thou anointest my head with oil, my cup overflows. [ (Psalms 23:7) Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. ]
9 I have become a stranger to my brethren, an alien to my mother's sons.
