4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom. apply: Heb. cause to come
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul well knoweth right…: Heb. greatly
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and skilfully formed in the lowest parts of the earth. substance: or, strength, or, body
16 Thy eyes saw my substance, not yet formed; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. all…: Heb. all of themwhich…: or, what days they should be fashioned
17 How precious also are thy thoughts to me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
9 But thou art he that brought me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts. didst…: or, kept me in safety
10 I was cast upon thee from my birth: thou art my God from my mother’s womb.
27 For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him:
24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. the beauty: or, the delight
6 By thee have I been sustained from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother’s womb: my praise shall be continually of thee.
40 And the child grew, and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
3 For I was my father’s son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
4 He taught me also, and said to me, Let thy heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
