24 And Jesus answering said to them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

9 BETH. How shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed to it according to thy word.

12 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect to thy ways.
16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
10 Of this salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come to you:
11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ who was in them did signify, when he testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

4 For whatever things were written in former times were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
18 And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:
19 And it shall be with him, and he shall read in it all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them:
20 That his heart may not be lifted above his brethren, and that he may not turn aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
