13 And whatever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
23 And whatever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men;
24 Know ye not that they who run in a race all run, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so I fight, not as one that beateth the air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
10 Whatever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, where thou goest.
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forward to those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
11 For we hear that there are some who walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. be…: or, faint not
13 For it is God who worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
13 I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me.
29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint. renew: Heb. change
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. expected…: Heb. end and expectation
1 Therefore seeing we also are surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. author: or, beginner
3 For consider him that endured such hostility by sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come near thee.
29 And seek ye not what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. neither…: or, live not in careful suspense
30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. decketh: Heb. decketh as a priest
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: teach…: or, make disciples, or, Christians of all nations
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world. Amen.
