O Papel da Mulher
10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth waistbands to the merchant.
25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and on her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth food to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. buyeth: Heb. taketh
17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her lamp goeth not out by night. She…: Heb. She tasteth
19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. She…: Heb. She spreadeth
9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with reverence and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; broided: or, plaited
11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober minded, faithful in all things.
1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the behaviour of the wives;
2 While they behold your chaste behaviour coupled with fear.
3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of arranging the hair, and of wearing gold, or of putting on apparel;
4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
5 For after this manner in former times the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands:
6 Even as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any terror. daughters: Gr. children
22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject to Christ, so let wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; holiness: or, holy womenfalse…: or, one who foments strife
4 That they may teach the young women to be sober minded, to love their husbands, to love their children, sober: or, wise
5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. moveth: Heb. creepeth
16 To the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. to thy…: or, subject to thy husband
8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. meet…: Heb. as before him
11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
12 For as the woman is from the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things from God.
