1 I exhort, then, first of all, there be made supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, for all men:
2 for kings, and all who are in authority, that a quiet and peaceable life we may lead in all piety and gravity,
3 for this is right and acceptable before God our Saviour,
12 so that the law, indeed, is holy, and the command holy, and righteous, and good.
17 every good giving, and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the lights, with whom is no variation, or shadow of turning;
4 because every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, with thanksgiving being received,
5 for it is sanctified through the word of God and intercession.
16 Let not, then, your good be evil spoken of,
2 and be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, for your proving what is the will of God -- the good, and acceptable, and perfect.
50 The saltis good, but if the salt may become saltless, in what will you season it? Have in yourselves salt, and have peace in one another.'
